I have to add my little bit of adulation to this as well: there were some absolutely top-class acts yesterday. But I agree with Sam, you two guys stole the show!
The West Wing
...
Your voice is amazing! So much control and finesse in your top notes (and yet you say you've been ill).
Chess Piece Face
...
EPIC! Almost literally too, a modern day version of Homer or the Viking sagas (although I confess I don't really know what those would have sounded like; probably nowhere as good as yours). That should totally be published and advertised as part of the 800th Anniversary.
Better to get in touch with them early than late, especially if it's about the course. What's wrong with your college, though?
I just feel isolated here-I was ill before I came which left me with very little confidence in going out. I feel trapped as, to me at the moment, Homerton just seems so far away from everything. If I was in the city I could start getting out and building up my confidence knowing my college is just around the corner. Here I can't do that so I've been outside the college twice in the 3 weeks I've been here (to Tesco and the city once each).
The corridor way of living is also not great for someone like me I wish I'd thought about it more before applying.

I don't know what you mean by 'the corridor way of living', but I'm pretty sure that you get that at other colleges as well. As for isolation and being far away, you should really buy a bike. True, Homerton will still be roughly 15 minutes away from town, but that's really not a lot! Unless your plans to build up your confidence include drinking ad nauseam, it doesn't really matter whether you have to walk 5 minutes to get back to John's Cripps or cycle 15 minutes to Homerton after a night/day out. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that your problems are irrelevant, I'm just saying that it might be reasonably easy to alleviate. I know it's easier said than done, but it's all about being a bit more active - there are people in Trinity as well who just stay in their rooms despite having all of the city centre right next to them.
Anyways, I hope that your tutor will understand and that you'll find a solution .

I think the corridor way of living is my way of describing the millions of us all on one corridor, it's quite overwhelming and difficult to make friends especially if you're quite quiet-the girl opposite me has deferred her place until next year so that's one less person to talk to.
I can't really get a bike with the way I've been-I tend to feel ill quite suddenly which is why it would be nice to be able to get back to a college with minimum hassle. I know they can't change college and they'll probably hate me for having doubts about my course but I'm so upset thinking I might have to go through applying again as it seemed like such hard work getting through it all the first time.
Oh no, you are in fact right- I had no clue! I informally mentioned that to somebody in my college, who I know is involved with Varsity, and it seems I have now unwittingly contributed to this smutty, pretentious student rag. Thanks for bringing it to my attention...
EDIT: I didn't write the second one at all; I don't even know what Wetherspoon is
"but you might want to avoid nicking them on a Friday night"
"At breakfast, most college butteries often leave a jug of milk out; take an empty bottle with you and leave with a free pint or two. You can do this as often as you like...."

Hmm, that definitely isn't unique to Homerton - our accommodation was like that last year. Do you not see the other people in the kitchen at least?
It could be lupus
eugh all that wine, port and champagne maybe wasnt such a good idea... and I am meant to be rowing at 2!
I'm meant to be playing football at 2, but I'm not sure if I've sobered up yet.

I know a lot of universities/colleges share this setup but it just doesn't feel right here. As my friend described it, it feels like Travelodge.
I see them very rarely-a lot of them eat in hall which I can't do that much because of my milk thing. That also annoys me-as I can't eat milk or eggs I have to buy a lot of fresh things and I can't just nip for a sandwich or a snack. I realise how 'complaining about everything' I sound

I know I sound dramatic
Tbh, you've been living in Cambridge for 3(ish) weeks at this point, so you're still getting to grips with it I'd imagine. Perhaps uni/your college/course isn't quite how you expected it to be, which isn't your fault as such - you just need to give it a little more time. As for socialising, what about college-based societies?
Although it might not cheer you up much, I wanted to drop out for subject/college/social life related reasons for most of my 1st MT too, but I stuck with it & eventually (towards the end of LT) got to like the place... I can't guarrantee that'll happen to you, but I feel pretty sure that there's more to Cambridge life (and your college) than you've seen in 3(ish) weeks

Just go down and sit with them when they eat in hall. Alot of people seem to do that here if they aren't hungry/ have spent all their money on other stuff
Just force yourself upon them in a non-forceful way.. Ask to borrow something like a wooden spoon/pan when you're cooking.. then you can offer some food/ have a chat when you're returning it..
And now my question to the camchat wisefolk.. how do I get rid of a mirgraine, like, super-fast? I have a supervision in two hours, and currently can't read a thing because my vision has gone all funky [yay for touchtyping].. which isn't great when I haven't done most of the reading..

, just imagining you saying this is funny.
Tut tut you just made potential stalkers' lives a lot easier by pointing out exactly where the bits are.

I haven't yet come across a quick remedy for the ol' migraine. I am disabled by them about once to twice a month and lose 1-2 days of my life each time. Bloody nightmare. I think I qualify as someone who has 'chronic' migraine and can therefore get those cool -triptan drugs which are meant to be good, but I don't actually have the time to see my GP these days

It was pretty obvious, to be fair.
I really need to go to Sainsbury's but I still haven't done any work today (or since Thursday) so can't really afford the time. If only it was open late on Sundays
