Ack, as the only Cambridge architect, I answer all the questions in the Architecture Thread. That's fine, there aren't many of them. But what is really annoying is when I get the same question THREE times is a row, two of them on the same page. The Architecture thread is only three pages long, and yet they don't have the sense to read back even a few posts up the page, so see if their question's already been answered!

I'm sure this is nothing compared to modding, but still, it is very frustrating!

I also did no work yesterday; after forcing myself to get up, clean my room - as I doubt my guest would appreciate the 'I haven't left this room in the past 3 days vibe' - get presentable & get food in, I felt so exhausted I needed to sleep again :/

And I've only just got up to find that my supervision may be moved forward a day, giving me less time than I thought to write the thrilling philhellenism essay I keep banging on about. Blergh.

I think my friend enjoyed his visit to Cambridge though, so I've done my bit to represent us to the Oxfordians now
I have Google Wave. Whoo! And so do a whole bunch of people, it seems... when I signed in quite a number of my Gmail contacts showed up automatically...

Just back from squash - was fun but tiring and I'm not convinced that that was Clare's 2nd team we played.
Did you play in the match against Christ's?

Canned Door
(a version of fun that not everyone subscribes to).

I like how I've now forced everybody on the thread to specify :awesome:
Catsmeat
Neat vodka is fine, you just need to Russian-up beforehand.

Ah, because Russian Literature causes you to get Knurd almost as quickly as Klatchian tea?

Also Clare Comedy this Sunday (22nd)!

If I'm back from sailing in time then I'll come along but I doubt that I will be. It's at 2100, yeah?

Did anyone watch Dr. Who last night? It was quite ridiculous, but fun. Most lolworthy was the bits of spacestation buring fiercely in a Martian atmosphere...

Ooh, is it a new series? If so that's my next hour sorted. *off to iPlayer*

I played against Christ's 2nds, yes. That didn't go well.

At least we won our badminton match (because I was playing, obviously :p:) against Wolfson yesterday though.

Haha. Yes, the more Chekovian the greater the level of Knurd.

Oh but wait, you mean coffee, yes?

Oh I have done so. But because I'm soft, I've reposted the answer as well... :o:

Hope you can make it! I also hope I'll have a stamp this time. Writing things on sweaty peoples hands was NOT fun last time!

Dr Who

Nope, alas its just a one-off :frown:

Mmm just bought a bag of delicious Russet apples form Mill Road. mmmm sweeet.
Yay, did the reading I needed to do in half the time I thought it would take me! Now I'm going to tidy my room and maybe have a brief nap before my 4pm supervision, then will get on with writing the essay this evening. Tomorrow is going to be a relaxing day :woo:

I love Russet Apples :coma:

Don't think that I could face walking all the way to Mill Road though. This is why I need a bike!

I'm sure you could get Russets closer to the centre than Mill road, I expect the fruit stalls in the market do them. Although they may not be as good as these ones
****!

Now there are 4 days with equal popularity for our end of term meal! I suspect that people's plans will change towards the end of term though, as more things get decided, so we'll leave off making a decision until nearer the time. Please, if your availability does change, can you update it, so that the info I have is up to date? thanks

Shame. But it was quite enjoyable nonetheless.

I think I was number 3. I should probably remember there being someone called Alex, but then I should probably remember what number I was.

Hmm. The answer on the back of the examples sheet is "about 10^3". My answer is "about 10^15". I feel the definition of "about" is being stretched to breaking point...
Agh. I just saw a Christmas advert, coupled with ******* decorations in Sainsbury's. You go away for a few days and this happens. I'm going to listen to David Karsten Daniels until I want to throw myself out of a window, just to compensate for it.
Aaaahhh.....I don't think I wanna perform at the Open Mic anymore. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but talking to people, it sounds like everyone is so good at everything, and I don't want to embarrass myself. Hmmm.

Now to crack on with this ice and ocean cores essay.
Embarrassment is also popular entertainment, Stratocaster.
Hmmm, do I go to a YA open day at Goldman Sachs next Wednesday or go to the three classes I have on that day? I'm almost certain that I want to do law rather than finance, but they already have a YA program in place with a Moscow office, and it would be just as huge an opportunity as the discussion I'm having with the law firm... But then, I've already missed 2 out of 4 SPAV classes this term because of illness, I think my teacher might have babies if I miss another...
