Anyone know if it's possible to melt camembert in a microwave?
Of course it is, but you will ruin the camembert. And you will have to eat it very soon afterwards so it doesn't resolidify into something gross. And you'll need to do it very lightly. E.g. try 10seconds, take it out to check, try again, etc.
If you're after the effect you get in restaurants where they serve it as a starter, it won't work. Needs a grill or oven.
You could get the same effect if you used a stove. Put it on a low setting and seal the cheese in its paper wrapping/wooden box (get any plastic out of the way) Warm it on one side for a bit, then invert, and repeat again. The inside will slowly melt and the outside won't be damaged. Tricky though.
I don't actually have a bloody camembert, I was just considering it for a hypothetical future meal
Buy two camemberts, one cheap basics kind and another nicer one. Experiment with the basics one. Leave the nice one in your fridge for about 10 days. When the better camembert has ripened it will be way too good to ruin with any type of exposure to heat other than intimate connection with your tongue
I've been working on my Use of Russian work since 3.30pm and have managed to read a 60 page booklet and do 6 questions of my first of four exercises. But I'm not doing an all-nighter because I don't care enough and all it means is that I won't enjoy my last few days of term
I have an example sheet due tomorrow and I had one due on Friday that I've barely started. Beat that. (Although once I'm done with those two, which will be tomorrow evening at the latest, I'm done for this term. Yay!)

I'm well aware of the pleasures of cheese, as dodgy as that sounds.

impressive. (i don't actually know if it is, do tell me). ah yes, enjoyment seems to have escaped my life too in the past few days.

i can't. don't your supervisors get really angry if you hand in work late? mine go beserk if i hand in work a few hours late!
Essay due tomorrow on supervision from two weeks ago, plus the reading for the actual supervision tomorrow. And it's a subject I couldn't care less about. Which is why I haven't started...
Far less dodgy than my post, I think And damn you *goes to get some cheese*
I've got gruyere
I have some reasonable cheddar, but don't have any biscuits or bread. Sainsbury's have little truckles of wensleydale with cranberries in, that was very nice, I ended up eating one with a whole baguette the other day by accident >_>
