Just got back from Borders. Luckily I was quick enough to come home and eat breakfast. I wasn't hungry when waking, and after I left I realised that after Borders I had a supervision followed by two two hour lectures to face on an entirely empty stomach
Sale not so great. Pratchetts only down by 20%. I would have left it but there were only four left, which made it clear that if I didn't want them at 20% off somebody else would! I got 'Wee Free Men' and 'Reaper Man'. They also had 'Lords and Ladies' and 'Moving Pictures', but those were in the edition with a black cover and a photo of some or other object, and I want to collect the ones with Kirby art. They had 'soul music' with the right cover, but I have that.
Catsmeat
It was a gift, okay?
I accidentally bought a Helly Hansen top in the equivalent shade of orange online thinking it to be a nice muted red from the description Gave it to scarlet ibis as a present so she can get all the looks while rowing on the Cam
The closure of Borders in most distressing. It is my refuge on the evenings when James is coxing, and I don't want to go home in the dark by myself. I am also halfway through two Alexander McCall Smith books which I read when I am there.
You can use the grad cafe. Its a nicer atmosphere.
Oh - And I saw a very large collection of Alexander McCall Smith at the Oxfam on Bridge street. Not the bookstore, the regular one just before the Bridge. They might have the two you're busy reading. If not, Borders probably have them on sale by now.

OoO thanks! I'll have a look in Oxfam.
And can I just walk into the Grad Cafe (I assume that's the one in the grad pad by the river) or do i need a card of some sort? I have an alumni card but that's it. And how late is it open?
I really like the bright red tech top you passed on to me. It is admittedly quite a lurid colour, but it works well, and its great for winter training!

I think you can just walk in - I've definitely done so before - but if anyone stops you, one of those almuni cards should suffice. No idea about the opening hours, however.

I was never that fond of Equal Rites I read Wyrd Sisters last night, as a friend lent it to me, which involved me not getting much sleep, oversleeping, missing the pointless lecture at 9am and 8 minutes of the important lecture at 10 :>.<: Since then I've been trying to get a bit of Vector Calculus done and now have to do my Extended Exercise presentation. Then it's supervision, bolt tea, trio rehearsal, dash back from Fitz, do more extended exercise with lab partner, go back, snack, write report, bed. Presentation 9am tomorrow.

There's definitely something to support the notion that, when doing sports, it's okay to look utterly ridiculous. Anyway, I'm not going riding today; I'm still feeling weak after this weekend, and don't think that it'll do much good. Tomorrow looks like a safer bet.
The Pratchett materials in Borders where being stocked somewhere else when I just went through; possibly they're reselling them as wholesale ...
I just spent £30 in Borders. But I got Le Petit Prince in Russian and War and Peace in English and the three Oedipus plays! And some Sherlock Holmes and La Cronica de una muerte anunciada so I'm a happy Zoe
I've got to give a presentation at 9am on an experiment that we did last week. I've got to write half of it and my lab partner the other half and I don't know what I'm doing I've only got an hour and a half as well.
I was walking past Trinity this morning...heard an Irish accent...the cogs in my brain started whirring...Trinity, Irish...Lupus? Looked back and it was you, but I was too far past to come back and say hi
There are not many Irish people at Trinity, so you actually have a good chance that it will be me if you hear someone outside of their. Especially 10mins before 9am lectures
I wasn't feeling 100% this morning after last night, but what can be done?
CamCORS: if it lists 3 'report summaries', but going select all -> display PDF gives a (formatted) bunch of 'report contents unavailable', does that just mean that those reports aren't entered yet? Also: does that mean that those three are the only three for which reports will be made?
Just went ice skating on Parker's Piece, so nice! It would have been even better at night, all lit up...
I went yesterday morning, and though I'm really rubbish at ice-skating, I do concur.

If it says "No" under "Rel." then it definitely isn't ready yet, otherwise I don't know. And no, it doesn't necessarily mean that those three are the only three, as much as you might like it to.
