Not from inside! I tend to keep my window open. Even ignoring temperature, it stops the air getting stale and I work more easily with the slight background noise. It's more likely a chimney, possibly from the old part of college.

Mmmm woodsmoke. Good smell. We have a woodburning stove on the boat, so we do smell it quite a lot, although you can smell it better from outside.

Hm, I'm going to challenge myself tonight and try to cook something halfway decent (relative to my culinary non-talent!). Thinking sausage, tomato and potato stew with mexican rice and fried tomatoes, possibly followed by whatever dessert-type thing's on offer at the moment. :woo:

My culinary delights tonight will be 2 quarter pounders, 4 potato waffles, and a pack of fingers.

Ah, i meant the mess kitchen, which is stocked with tonnes of bread and various spreads (jams, marmalades, butter, peanut butter, honey, nutella, marmite :coma:

), tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc.

The actual kitchen has only a toaster, microwave and a tiny hob with no cooking equipment.

You guys will probably bump into Petreans from my year celebrating a birthday. I bumped into them after leaving the HT Christmas party with a friend. They got me to go to Ta Bouche with them, but I chickened out of Cindies :wink:

An old house mate bought me a cocktail though :awesome:

No I just had a delayed reaction. I wasn't sure it was you, and by the time I decided that it was and smiled it was a bit late.

I fried pork sausages, and I fried onions and then simmered red cabbage in red wine and peppadew sauce :teeth:

Well having enjoyed two days of chilledness I've got to put my nose to the ground again. Just emailed the second of the two supervisors (the big important one) about the supervision she offered, and she got back in like ten seconds offering me next Weds but saying she'd need the essay by this Sunday.
As it happens I'm in Oxford on Sunday and Monday so I'd really need to get it done by then anyway, but yikes! This means early night for me and starting work first thing tomorrow!

Irritatingly I think the SPS library is closed tomorrow :grumble:

And everywhere else; for the library loan stuff. This is going to be annoying!
