Really a switch to medicine once you graduate? Fair play

There's a medic in my year who degraded so he can change to CompSci next year. :p:

Yes I was forgetting that its different for Freshers. Ours are kicked out too to have space for interviewees. But the same trend seems to apply for other terms, which is a shame.

Ah ok. I might stay about for Easter so that I can do some revision in peace without my family annoying me

 strange. I find computers interesting and like computers but I couldn't imagine switching to CompSci

i took loads of lovely photos in the snow, and my phone has deleted specifically the ones I took of the cats playing. all the other boring ones of like trees and stuff are there. no idea how that could have happened! :bawling:

I've considered taking compsci as my third year option but I think i'm gonna end up doing a path projest as I'm not clear on whether you get an honours degree if you take anything other than a part 2 of another tripos.

I thought you always get your BA? I already think I would do a research project as it would probably be the most beneficial in the long run as well.

In other news a paper in which I am a co-author has been submitted to a journal. Hopefully it will be published

That's odd, I knew a medic and a vet who took IA MML and neither seemed the type who would want to forfeit their BA to learn some silly languages :p: But looking at the course outline it does seem a bit like you can only take part II. Aren't you advised to stick with a sciency option anyway? My friend would love to do languages but I seem to remember was told that the 'serious' medics will stick with the biomedical stuff.

I thought as well it didn't matter what you took, you still got your BA. Learning a language would be a good option but I think I would stick to the biomedical stuff

Oh cambridge law degree, why have you rendered me completely unable to tick boxes after 'correct' statements?
It's really not helpful.

Meanwhile I can never understand why people dash off so quickly :eyeball: There's never enough time to fully appreciate Cambridge during term. The week or so afterwards when loads of people are still around and stuff is going on but you have no work is just about the best time ever

We practically get kicked out of our accomodation (conference guests  ), with a time limit and everything. I've been home for almost two weeks now.
Ok it seems that I actually know much more anatomy than I thought I did :awesome: :woo:
I just realised that my vac borrowing was rather haphazard and I don't actually have any of the secondary texts that I need for the two essays I should be writing over christmas, but do have some for the essay that is due in week 3. Haha. Fail.

EDIT: Oh, and apparently some for the essay that was due in Week 1 of last term. Oh dear. I must have been very fired up about Spanish when I was going round the library. I also have 0 Russian book. What was I thinking?!

:lolwut: There are snowmen in Front Court. Either some dons have regressed to their youthful selves or ducks have evolved early.

Probably porters, or any of the other students who are still around. It's a tradition, you can't have snow in Emma without snowmen on Front Court!

I have really cold feet
I have to say, as a northerner living down south, this snow is fascinating. We've had barely 10cm and yet every school in the area seems to be closed. I don't think my secondary school ever closed for the whole day due to snow... :holmes:

Although I guess it is the last day of term, so they wouldn't have been doing anything in school anyway...

Basically I'm not sure the website seems to encourage sticking with natsci stuff. AFAIK you have to do a part 2 to get honours but I guess I'll find out the details when we have to pick our options at the end of the year. In all honesty i'd probably prefer research too, I'm looking at going to work in a lab in the states this summer. and MB PhD is mighty tempting!
A paper already?! I'm impressed! Whats it on? How did you end up getting involved?
