Yes you should be fine, and I guess you could always have a look online first?

The reason I can't shop before the 6th is because my account ran out of money and because I changed the passwords on my online accounts and the bank posted the new log in info which is currently sitting in a drawer of my desk in Cambridge. So until I go back I don't have any money.

I won't be feeling so positive when I start working, but for now I am...

I have done no work this holiday, yet again. Urgh. I think I am missing some major component that most people seem to have re: work ethic.

Happy New Year everybody. Today was snatched from me by an annoying family dinner followed by games and more food. An unbelievable, sickening amount of food. It was very boring. Oh well. Done now.

Ooh, anyone know how easy it is to park at Cambridge station (cars, not bikes? I know the latter is almost impossible)?

It's not too difficult (read: pretty straight forward). I think a day-pass is something like £7.00.

If that's a little steep, there is almost always some (free) parking on Rustat Road, which is just off Cherry Hinton Road and at the other end of the little pedestrian/cycle bridge that crosses the station car park.

On another note, I have checked in for my flight back (24 hours early...) meaning I've got the awesomest seats.

Me too- and my mother keeps nagging me about essays :frown: despite my assurances that all is in hand especially as i'll be back in cam on tuesday where i shall have little else to do (other than install a 42" TV :awesome: actually i can see me wasting much time "testing" this)
and doctor who: :woo: good but not my favourite episode ever though (that would probably be The Stolen Earth/Journey's End)

argh! thats an awesome episode too! As are The Sound of the Drums/Last of the Time Lords, Doomsday (Daleks vs. Cybermen = :awesome:), Satan's Pit and Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. :eek3: soo many awesome episodes my head may just explode at the thought of them :p:

Ditto. How could it NOT be blink?!

I just want Dr Who to be back on tv already..See what the new doctor is like.. I think Matt Smith may be decent [based on all of 20 seconds].
42"..! I think I know whose room to invade whenever it is back on..

I think I'd have to agree with Doomsday, or maybe The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords.
I thought Blink was ok, but not as good as those.

Most of my favourites are Stephen Moffat ones, I think.

I thought this one was a bit disappointing - there's only so many times we can be promised the end of the world, then everything reverts to the status quo... The bit at the end seemed a bit pointless as well

Blink is great, but it seems a little odd to me that many people's favourite episode is one where the Doctor barely features at all! I suppose it's good because it was a refreshing change to the basic doctor-shows-up-and-kicks-ass story, as well as being very well made.

About yesterday's episode: Judging by my Facebook newsfeed it seemed many people had based their opinion of it on the last half hour (which, I'll admit, I quite liked) whilst forgetting the ridiculous story beforehand. I mean, who the HECK would design a machine so that the toxic waste exhaust happens to be into the control booth thing, which it's impossible to escape? The problem with having such a long-running series is that they have to keep upping the stakes - after saving time itself from the Time Lords, what's the Doctor going to be up against in the next finale? (More Daleks or Cybermen probably, who any grown up person finds pathetic.) How is the eleventh doctor going to be able to establish himself when compared to that sort of stuff? As far as ridiculous plot lines go these episodes really do top the list I think, though I did still enjoy it.

I have a feeling it may also be because the guest star on Blink is so, uh, visually appealing. :o: :p:

I know what you mean. I also don't get why the Doctor didn't just let Wilfred die - what's so special about him that he's worth a regeneration? Still good fun to watch though.

Do you really not get it, or are you just saying what makes more sense from a logical standpoint?

I know it probably won't happen because it's primarily a children's show, and it's being pointed in the direction of teenage girls and True Blood/Twilight/other trash, but I'd like to see more development of the Doctor's family and history on Gallifrey, though RTD has pretty much scuppered any hope of that with his shortsighted idea to destroy the planet and ban the Doctor from returning
