Nandos is another good choice for a large group (assuming you like spicy chicken... maybe not for a veggie though!).
Nando's actually do really nice veggie burgers and beanie burgers! And I haven't tried it, but they also do some thing with Portobello mushroom and halloumi cheese...I'm not sure they accept bookings though - the one near me doesn't.

Nando's in Cambridge accept bookings - we were going to go there for badminton social but they were already fully booked.

Really? Maybe thats why she was ok to maybe going to Nandos last time...
Nah I know, it is a pitty. If I turn up with 30 people they would laugh at me and tell me they would have a table ready in 4-5 hours
Oh yeah guys have you any ideas where I could book a place for a meal for about 30 people? Without a deposit as well as I don't think I could get it in time. Its for tuesday
Thanks
Downing's ultimate frisbee team had a social at Giraffe (http://www.giraffe.net/) last term. There probably weren't as many as 30 of us, but the staff dealt really well with such a large number, putting tables together and topping up water .etc. Seemed like a good place for vegetarians too.

wow now that place sounds promising if they seemed to deal with yous that well. I might call in before and see if I could put a reservation down
EDIT: looking at the menu that place looks amazing. I will hopefully see if they can sort us out. I wish I knew what type of vegetarian food she liked
To be honest in that weather I think that would be too far. Then again I am quite lazy
Anyways, back in Cambridge in about 16 hours
Hehe, back when I was an undergrad I used to think the station was a long way. Now cycling between Addies and town seems no distance (I guess it isn't really - 15 mins cycle).

It isn't that bad-my work at home is 25mins cycle away. It is a far distance when I had to walk to Addies though at the end of this term!
I have different perceptions of distance though at home and at Cambridge
I did not know there was a Giraffe in Cambridge. You have made my week.
It's round the back of Bank, Zara and H&M Went there at the very end of last term and ended up spending £100 between four girls - the cocktails were too tempting!

Haha I don't drive at home, but I am less lazy about walking/cycling/getting drove places at home
Tbh, I might be able to get a car permit if I wanted during term, but hey, the cycling's good for me. Also, here, St Andrews is tiny, so I can walk/run everywhere, and I only go to like two places outside of town...basically the whole world is accessible here, whereas town is effort in Cambridge!

That is handy. I was told by someone that they thought Cambridge was a small town. I burst out laughing and said that the rural town I live in must be a field then

I know the feeling The other one I like is when people complain about a 3 hour trip to Cambridge and the like!
