Back in Downing. Drive down wasn't that bad. Under 5 hours, which would've seemed like a miracle this morning.

Finally managed to unpack everything. Brought down more stuff this term than last I think. :s-smilie:

Well, I suppose I better go and socialise before I fall asleep!

Yeah, I've been back since monday  I was the only one on the corridor until today when my brother came back, but I managed to socialise with non-mathmos! :yep: And no, I haven't seen my father at all...

:five: were many people back as early as you? I've not seen your father for ages either, and I've lost my phone now :o:

There were a few people around, enough to build a snow-lady, and many more people have been trickling in over yesterday and today.

When are you back?
Right, I'm back and (mostly) unpacked. Have also not made a great start on the anti-procrastination front by spending the evening watching a film while eating shortbread rather than working but that was kind of expected so whatever. :yep:
:ditto:

I've done no work this evening. Unless you count drinking a bottle of wine as working. Hmmm. Tomorrow is going to be a rubbish day :frown:

Mock exam tomorrow. Revision appears imminent.

I'm back!!! and totally not unpacking! I have friends to visit!!!
Hm. Hello internets again after a few weeks of v. little. I'm back, but don't have my computer, suit/gown, or instruments, as they're all back home. Snow-related. Blargh.

On the plus side, I'm back

I'm on a train! Getting back in mebbe 7ish hours!
Getting back into the working frame of mind is harder than I was expecting...
Fortunately I've nearly completed the winter essay that I was set, should be finished within a few hours, which will give me a few days of rest before I continue with my dissertation. That is, apart from spending most of tomorrow translating a technical article from German into English ... I'll be the one in the west room at the UL tomorrow, growling gently under my breath.
Back. I really need to get the hang of travelling light... I don't think there's anything I own, other than furniture, jewellery, books and sailing equipment that I don't have with me. Hm...

Welcome back! Did the laptop arrive in time?

I might be going back to Glasgow for a weekend trip in week 2. Travel fail

Cheers! Infuriatingly, no. :shifty: It's completed, and sitting in a depot in the midlands somewhere, but Dell won't let them ship it until they've got enough orders to make up a pallet (or something like that). My parents are going to come down at their February holiday, though, because they've found cheap train tickets, so we might do a swap (old for new) then.

Daft :p: Why so soon? I made in around week 4 or so last term. (Those cheap tickets might help you, I don't know - it was an offer in the Scotsman, apparently.)
munro90
what are you doing in dissection thats ruining your clothing?! its smells but your lab coat soaks most of that up so it should be fine. Have you got a cambridge hoody yet? As one of the student comedians says- an event hasn't happened in cambridge if theres not a hoody to go with it!

Ah its not ruining my clothes. I just class clothes that smell of dissection as ruined as its not a particularly pleasant smell to be walking about with.

Yeah I have a medsoc hoody for my college and my own college hoody.

Friend's 18th, so time's not really flexible. Thanks for the tip :p:

 Found the offer, but full details are in Scotland on Sunday today, which is a bit hard to come by in Cambridge.

Apparently it's a password collect offer, so I shall wait for some kind soul on the internet to post them :colone:
