I'm jealous of you all. I always forget to book gigs in term, and by the time holidays are here, they're all booked up.
I always forget too. The only reason I managed to get this one sorted was that I was casting around for a birthday present for my boyfriend when CPF posted a Facebook status relating to the gig, so I had it booked within five minutes!

Clever... clearly, I should just use CPF to book my gigs, for a small fee.
I don't know of an out-of-hours service, and their website doesn't indicate that they have one.
It isn't perfect?? I mean, I dunno what it's like where you're from, but Newnham Walk is open at least ten hours a day Monday-Friday, from 8am to 6pm, and in fact on most days is open much longer. And they have a (well advertised) out-of-hours service. An hour and a half a day takes the piss.
It doesn't really matter, I'm just ranting a bit. I'm not in a situation where I need to be ringing an ambulance, I just know that every single time I've ever wanted to see a doctor in my life I've had to massively inconvenience myself to do so. In fact, particularly when it's not urgent, I really wouldn't be able to justify things like taking time off work. I kinda wondered if this was the norm (but, having been to Cambridge, I can see it's obviously not).
I don't think it's unreasonable for people not from cambridge to want to look at the classlists. Of course, there would have been much less bother if people just posted classlists in the thread.
Well I like what I've heard of her music, but I don't think she's very attractive, and she has an unfortunate name (or a badly chosen one if its her adjustment ) So I definitely wouldn't label her perfect.
For looks I would agree with Lidka on both points that she made (including that it doesn't matter) but I quite like her name. If you rearrange the letters it spells "perkiest groan". Come on, that's vaguely cool! Each to their own though

I'm going toooo So excited!
Are you coming just for her set or are you going to come early and see the support acts? The ones I've MySpaced seem mediocre at best... but still, it'll be worth it for Regina

Good idea, but I would only accept rep as currency *runs and hides*

I didn't say it was unreasonable for them to want to see them.

Support acts, definitely I always have a thing for support acts even if they are mediocre I feel like I need to love them extra much. You do sometimes discover little live gems as well
I usually use them to go and buy any refreshments/merchandise/visit the ladies and so on, but you do get good surprises. We bought tickets for a favourite band in October and I didn't look things up before going. When I got there I was delighted to find that another band I'm fond of was supporting
I saw the Noisettes, Foals and the Rakes as support acts for bands. Hadn't heard of any of them before I saw them!
My friend went to a Dead 60s gig where they didn't show up so the support act played the whole gig, gave away free merchandise, signed loads of things for everyone, had a long chat with people from the audience etc because they were quite small and trying to make it - within a couple of months, everyone had heard of the Kooks
Talking of all things music, I've discovered that 10 bands I really like have released albums in the past 6 months without me noticing... so looks like I'll be spending the Summer plugged into my ipod
I'm trying to decide whether to post my research project in About, or only give it to the people who participated in the interviews On the one hand it would be fun to unleash TSR's first ethnography (although not everybody will know what an ethnography is which would sort of ruin the venture), on the other hand I'm not sure I want a long stream of insults to follow, which seems inevitable

Post it anonymously?
If nothing else I'd be quite interested to see it.

Well you can anyway - just send me your hermes. Sorry I sent it to loads of camchatters, so I'm surprised you hadn't seen it. It has a quote by you in it, by the way. But I made up a fake name And its pointless posting it anonymously as I'll still read the thread which people reply to, and therefore know what they think.

Cool, I've PMed you my CRS ID. (Too many acronyms, I feel...)
Ah, fair enough. Quite excited to find that I've been quoted. I doubt it'll be flattering. Never mind. And I suppose I see why you don't want to post it in public, I thought you just didn't want it associated with you for some reason.
