We had a goose on our street yesterday and I went around the house singing a song made up of words which rhymed with goose. My sister told me to shut up :frown:

I think I've underpaid postage on one of the books I sold on Amazon

Gah, I've sold/am selling books on Amazon. I hate how the postage allowance barely covers any of the actual postage cost...

Woo! Did some work today :awesome:

If the letter from your college parents was partly written in the form of a poem, would you a little freaked out? I'm thinking of doing this for mine :p:
Uh, yes :shifty:

The commission is sky high!

I think lots of people don't realise how much Amazon takes. After postage and packaging I made a 'profit' of less than 90p

This reassures me that I'm not missing out on anything by not going to the bother of selling things that way  I just dump things in charity shops/give them to friends. Much easier!

I made about £1.50 on a book that cost £15 because the p and p was so much =( Rubbish.

Wow, I just read a maths article on wikipedia, and understood a whole sentence. This makes me disproportionately happy

Gah, I've been working on my Themes & Sources essay all day today but I've only written 276 words out of 3000-5000. Still, the introduction is always the hardest part and I consider that a milestone, so if I'm feeling self-indulgent I might reward myself with a Coast/Desperate Romantics/You Have Been Watching triple bill.

In other news I'm excited about finding out my college children! I'm already thinking about what to cook for them (or, perhaps more accurately, what to learn to cook so I can make it for them).

Woo, Coast!
Any mods about?? We have a thread that needs locking :woo:

I attempted too but my internet cut off midway so I don't know if it worked. Its not urgent-just our old offer-holder's chat thread

Perhaps, but in a good way
Ahh it's letter's to the kids time, now do I continue with the tradition of the plagiarized letter that started with my great-grandfather or be more original.... hrmmm

I haven't got any kids this year :s-smilie: My husband graduated, and I can't be bothered to find another one :s-smilie:

Actually there was the option of my college Father who's returning from a year abroad, as my mother's left, but that's really playing into the incest cliche a bit too much.

I didn't get a letter from my college parents; we only found out who they were in Freshers Week.

Doesn't that kinda negate the point of parents, as there someone to ask questions of Cambridge before you go
