Wish I was travelling :frown:

Though I may have to go up to London next week for an interview.

I'm hoping to do some travelling for dissertation research next summer. If not, I'll take a cheeky holiday =D

I think the fact that I'd been to 21 countries before I even started University kind of satiated any curiosity/itchy feet. My current policy is I'm happy to go so long as somebody else goes to the hassle of organising the damn thing :p:

My total is a mere 8 :frown: Though some fairly far-flung.
Eleven... and that's if you count ones I've only travelled through as well as ones I've actually visited.
I did 1000 words of my Themes & Sources essay today, which isn't bad considering it's meant to be between 3000 and 5000 words and it's due in for January! :woo: However, adhering to the History Faculty Style Guide instructions is stressful :banghead:

Meanwhile, I've been engaging in my traditional results day activity - searching "Clare College" in Google News so I can see the articles from local papers about soon-to-be freshers who've just got their grades. This is in no way creepy...

Huh. Interesting. I know a mathmo at Magdalene who was 16 when she matriculated. I guess they have a more relaxed policy when it comes to age...

Are they actually allowed to live in college, being under 18 and all?
^^ I got the impression that he'll be treated the same as anyone else, except that he won't be allowed to drink. *shrugs*

Well done to him... that's a pretty awesome achievement for age 15! :O

Mine are limited but far-flung too. ROI, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Portugal, China, Taiwan, Japan
He's too young!!! He won't get enjoy uni properly- I think this is the telling quote:
"I absolutely love Cambridge, it's a beautiful place. I love how the colleges are separate and really small and you can walk for two minutes and there's a Topshop there."

Yer, but I was speaking to a Magdalene don though and EVERYONE likely to have contact with him has to be CRB checked, and he can't be supervised alone, etc, and there are some other hassles

Of course, since Mag. have done it quite a few times recently then everyone will be CRB checked by now

The comments are great though,
I once met a man called Niall, but his maths was very poor, just shows it takes all kinds to make the world go round.
I've been to loads of countries but that doesn't stop me wanting to see more

Chances of successful transition from laptop in room to book in library have been severely damaged by the commencement of monsoonal showers
