Meeting the parents

Right, i have a boyfriend. My mum and dad are going sort of mad about it just now cos they've never seen him before so i think they want to meet him. I don't mean like coming over for dinner or whatever just meeting him, seeing what he's like and if they like him. Problem is, i don't think they will like him. :dong:

I don't know why i just have this feeling. And my mum said that if they didn't like him then she would probably tell me not to see him. :frown:

Its sort of a coin toss over what will happen. Either they'll like him and it'll be fine or they'll not like him and i won't be allowed to see him without sneaking about. Should i just let them meet him or wait a while?

why do u think they wont like him? surely cos of ur age its ok for them to wana see him? when u go out on a date get ur mom to answer the door. or you answer it and tell ur mom to look out the top window to see him. or if he is AWFUL then get a decent chap to pretend to be the bf

if they meet him u can cook him dinner and have him round so thats good stuff

He lives in a different town though so normally we only see each other if i go over there cos my mates hang about where he stays. He's not been down to my bit yet. And its not like he's ugly or anything its just that he's someone my dad would probably look at and think "what an a*se" or just instantly hate him.

Just have them meet him. There is only so much they can judge him from in a few minutes, and they shouldn't be jumping to conclusions from that anyway.

I met my girlfriends parents and went for dinner a few days after we got together, I thought they wouldnt like me, but apparently they loved me! Just go for it!
