If you have a really good application and this is the one thing that lets you down then there's probably a good chance you'll get an interview anyway. Just hope for the best.

It is rather the opposite for me. Complete and utter first-degree murder of the test that even Poirot would not be able to detect, or rejection without interview.

Aw don't get too down on yourself!

I'm sure the test will be fine... its just the essay section that bothers me at the moment!
I feel relatively good about the essay part, reckon I might be able to write something quite interesting given a suitable question. I do okay on practice multiple choice questions, might be tougher on the day though.

multiple choice questions are a bit more difficult if you are not native English speaker I think .. so maybe that's why I'll fail

Hey, mate. Let's do our best! Can't do it in any other way.
I'm sure youre fine though . Have you done the practise test?
It's the essay I'm slightly worried about- my timing isn't great!

For the multiple choice questions, for 40 questions we get 90 mins, so that's 2mins 15secs per question- which isn't too bad methinks.

Either way, I've got the whole of tomorrow to do some final preparation... so fingers crossed come wednesday! (I bet we're all gonna be on this thread in the evening trying to find out who got what answer for which question!)

Isn't it 50 questions in 90mins?

Unfortunately it is 50 questions, or at least that is what the specimen paper is.

yeaaah  that's the point  .. i have done the practise test ... i feel all right because we have only 90 min. ... soooo .. I think no one .. can fill it in within 90 minutes .. thinking over each question ... so .. here it comes .. time for the speciel tactics  if there are questions for more points .. if .. if ... and if ...

Guys ... let's decide this ... and see u in Oxford in Dec

Good luck 2 everyone ! Essay will not be so difficult .. everyone of u can write  )
Oh yeah, sorry I meant 50- the '40' figure was just a freudlian slip of my optimism...
good luck everyone!!!! i'm about to start preparing for the TSA....not sure how yet though!
Does anyone know if the 'Rasche' scale that is used to adjust the PPE scores is, in general, likely to make one's percentage go up or down?
I've just done the practise test in timed conditions... (I left it for tonight - been using Critical Thinking papers until now)

I got 39/50 :s-smilie:

Is that good? What sort of score is the average?

Spent aggeeeesss on the last question, then my dad came in telling me my time was up and I just had to guess.

Luckily I didn't guess many of the other answers, so I must have just gone about it the wrong way or anything. At least I could get an answer out that fitted with an option...

But, needless to say, the time constraint is a bit of a pain :o:

Good luck tomorrow guys! I suppose we'll be on here tomorrow evening discussing it

I got 48/50 in the TSA under timed conditions, but it's not that I'm worried about - I'm terrible at essays and I think I might well screw it up on that front. It's all very well being able to do multiple choice, but 30 minutes is too short a time for a properly erudite and informed essay IMO.

Thanks for telling those of us who are more worried!:p:

That reminds me of those who whine about their "awful" (2390/2400) SAT scores.
Good luck everyone (as long as you do worse than me).
