Nope. You will get a rejection letter at the same time.
No interview, in essence, means no offer in general.
So it's like a first-cut :o:

Does anyone know how long it takes for the colleges to start giving out interviews?

I know you can receive them very close to the date, but some of my friends are already receving interviews for cambridge and I am riddled with jealousy (even though their interviews are earlier then the Oxford interviews).

Early december at latest. Hopefully earlier.
Just a few weeks, so hold on and stay strong .

The email I got says:

"For candidates nominating a preference of a PPH as a second choice, your email will be processed on the deadline of 31st October.

All other options will be processed on the deadline of November 10th."

woohoo sounds like a F.U.N. wait

:/
Reply 2625
I guess that could be both good and bad, depending on how you did the test.

But won't they have time until late november/december to decide whether to invite you or not? Surely, they must have gotten the scores by then, or?

Having seen the instructions for international candidates and what to do re: sending scripts back, the deadline is the 14th of November - so clearly they give it a while before starting consideration. Add in another couple of days for the tutors to actually recieve the essays... it's actually quite tight and explains the last date.

Re: the EU one - I don't remember such an MCQ, do you think I had a different MCQ paper as a result of being an intnl candidate?

I do. Swap for your York offer?
I've only heard from Manchester, I'm getting a tad worried as well but am prepared to wait...

If they'd let us I would. For some reason I liked Warwick more...

I've read the main post and I'd say that I'm definitely interested in the social sciences, current affairs, ethics and the like, even if some of the parts of this course do scare me.

I know it's not important for a degree like PPE, but in the position of someone who's having to decide which A-levels to take, what would you recommend? I'm almost certainly going to take English and Maths - probably History too because I quite enjoy the subject. Not too sure about the fourth choice.. I was thinking about taking German, as a foreign language always seems beneficial, but would Economics be useful? I'm taking it at GCSE but I'm not sure how useful it is at A-level. If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be grateful.

Ooh do English, Maths, History and German. Those are my exact subjects (but with Philosophy as well).
They're well good.
But check in a couple of weeks in case I get rejected, then maybe rethink those.
Now that the 8th of Nov has passed (ie. the last set of test candidates have done their TSA test), let's get back to discussing the test!

Do you guys remember what you put for Q49 and Q50? (coz I had to guess those 2 due to running out of time!)

well there's this thread i've been looking at called the big TSA thread and it's been discussing all this lately....especially question 49 and 50.
49 was the one about energy, right??
if it was then if you include logs as energy then the answer is May or so, but if you take only electricity then the answer is February (B). I picked February, but I'm not so sure anymore....
Anyway there's more detail on the big TSA thread.
more accurate detail about question 49
copied from the big TSA thread

Jan: 125 (Gas, 125)

Feb: 160 (Electricity, 160)

April: 120 (Gas, 120)

May: 180 (Electricity, 140; Logs for Fire, 40)

July: 140 (Gas, 80; Logs for Fire, 60)

Therefore, if you include Logs for Fire, May is the answer; if
you don't, February is the answer.
