You dropped your ego.

Sorry if I came across arrogant. I was just slapping down some credentials in the hope that it may make my case for application w/o an essay based subject stronger.

Cheers.
It shouldn't be a problem at all, but if you get one you should make extra preparations before your interview to make sure you will feel comfortable talking about the three subjects. Many applicants have not studied any of the three before but may have come across related issues in subjects like English or History. They're not testing you for factual knowledge of the three disciplines but I'm quite sure that it will prove beneficial for you to dedicate a considerable amount of time to reading PPE-related books. There are some suggestions of books to read on the Oxford PPE website, and if you exhaust those then feel free to PM me - I'll be happy to make suggestions and I can tell you the titles of books we're looking at in the first year course (I'm a PPE fresher). Hope this helps.

Thank you very much indeed. I'll have a look at the books and start reading!
I may PM you at some point, if that's okay.

Thanks very much.

No problem. You're welcome to get in touch if you need advice. I also forgot to mention that you should try to keep your writing skills up to scratch, because part of the TSA is a thirty minute essay. You're usually given a pretty wide choice of titles, but it could be difficult to answer even one you know a lot about well if you're out of practice.

A top tip! I will probably write the odd essay in connection with the reading list oxford recommend; it'll help drill the concepts into me too!

Cheers!
Any idea how many kids apply to Mansfield for PPE? I mean is it extremely competitive?
Hey guys,
I'm preparing for the TSA, and my scores range from 39 to 44 (about 68-77). I know that I'm going to be very nervous on the day of the test, and have read that anything above a 63 should be enough for an interview, but everyone I've been talking to is shooting for high 70s. Would a 68 be enough for an interview? I'm an American and slightly surpass the required exam scores. Does anyone have final tips? I've run out of new exams, but ive saved one last one to do two days before the test. I'm so nervous!

I have a similar question. Is a score of 68-69 with all A* predicted grades good enough to ensure an interview?

If it is, but your application is good, they will just reallocate you to a different college. So as long as your application is of a good standard, it doesn't really matter where you applied to.
Hi, I am a second year student at Sciences Po in the Europe-Asia program. My university has an exchange agreement (on the PPE) with Oxford. But in my case it would be a bit unique because mine is a three-year undergraduate degree and, so in essence, after the completion of my third year, potentially at Oxford, I would have graduated from my home institution (Sciences Po).
In such a scenario, I had some queries regarding the PPE program:

a) Is the PPE exchange program at par with other courses offered at Oxford to usual undergraduates
b) How would you assess the teaching and guidance on the PPE, particularly in Politics and Economics
c) What are the networking opportunities offered by the PPE exchange program over the duration of the year, in particular among exchange and college students (since I reckon the university is sub-divided into several fairly-independent colleges)
d) Importantly, how well would one, as an exchange student, be able to utilize the Careers Service desk at Oxford for potential full-time employment opportunities after the completion of the year of study

Please try and help at the earliest since I have to hand over my year-abroad options to Sciences Po very soon. The more the better. Thank you very much.

68 and strong grades will give you an extremely strong chance at the interview.

Not many people apply there, most people invited to interview have probably been pooled from another college.
Have any PPE applicants received interview invitations yet?
I'll take it that no one has heard yet. :P

On theory, nobody will find out till the 29th. That's the date on the PPE website, but it does say that some colleges will be even later :/

Christ Church say they're posting all interview invites a week before each interview.
