how well do you guys think I should know the books on my personal statement? should I be able to recall details of the argument or talk about them on a more theoretical level... I know all of them and can talk about the ideas they pose, but I'm not sure whether I can really remember every small detail...

They don't really care that much about what you have on your personal statement and it's highly unlikely they'll want to discuss anything you wrote in any great depth. They might ask you a few questions at the start of your interview just to ease you in, but for the most part they know what material they want to cover and they'll be asking questions on that. Obviously, have a reasonably strong knowledge of what you've read for the few easing-in questions they may ask, but don't stress out about memorising pages and pages of A General Theory or the Spirit Level.

Good luck! I got the email this morning. A few of my friends from other collages got letters though. Managed to tell people after getting over the shock - I thought I'd utterly messed up the TSA - the MCQs were ok but the essay I did was shocking...

And ugh... That gives me some sort of hope, since I think I have completely messed up the TSA. :frown:.

does this mean that if we don't get an email today we didn't get an interview? AGH, so nervous!!!

Heart did a jump?! I screamed in the middle of the road, ran into school to tell my friends, and promptly burst into tears. I fear I'm overly emotional about these things.

Don't worry about it - I'm sure it went better than you thought - mine must have done.

Hi, I'm unsure if this is posted in the right place so apologies if not. I have been invited to interview for PPE and am wondering what people's thoughts on interview format are? As someone who has only studied economics out of the three disciplines, how much knowledge of subject matter are tutors expecting? Thanks in advance

Hi, can anyone please advise as to formats of PPE interviews? How much subject knowledge is expected, and as someone who has taken maths and further maths will i be tested on this? Thanks

It really differs by college and tutor so it's almost impossible to say.
