undercoveron, seriously, what is the possibility of a large group of people finding it difficult and randomly meeting up in one place, whilst a completely different group, perhaps equally large found it easy and none of them seem to be on tsr? Just philosophising.
But that corpus christi person seriously worries me...

Good logic - if so, then we can just hope for the best!

Hahahaha
That was posted yesterday, when I was still worried that you getting your interview and me hearing nothing was a silent rejection :P But regardless of my selfish panic attack, I guess the first thing to say should have been a big CONGRATULATIONS!
Interview from LMH

So there are 23 people being interviewed for PPE at LMH. How many student they take each year?

Thanks for the reply, been trying to look for the figure for ages! Wow, quite competitive even after interviews!

I mean 1 in 3 is usually the ratio you will get at any college (or I think that's what they aim for, I remember at my college they interviewed over 20 of us and 7 of us got an offer), so I wouldn't say it's unusual

Oh I see. I had always thought that it would be slightly less competitive, as I heard from a few people that Oxford were quite selective when choosing who to interview (especially compared to Cambridge).

Hey guys got an interview for Hertford as well

How do you prepare for the interview? Especially the economics part, what kind of questions do you expect?
A question to current PPE students:

Is the interview now the only factor used in deciding which applicants will receive offers? Or is it used alongside grades, reference, TSA etc?

The interview isn't the only factor, PPE tutors are supposed to review all of the available evidence, including results and projected results, the TSA and PS, school report and of course the interview. Clearly the interview matters a good deal, as it is the one chance they get to meet with you and see what they think about your interest, reasoning ability and communication skills 'in person and up front', but it isn't the whole story.

Aah I see, thank you

I got high marks in my statistics module for AS maths, so I'm concious I could be quizzed on that element. For the Economics interview, have tutors in the past posed problems based on material found in AS-level maths and statistics?

I did have to draw a graph during my interview, so I guess that counts as AS maths.

What sort of graph, if you don't mind my asking? I did A-Level Maths, but a year early so can't remember anything anymore!
