UCL, LSE, King's and Warwick.

This Ox thing got me really down. Possibility of getting offers from these?

What? If true, that would make me deliriously happy, as it would mean that they were willing to overlook my atrocious performance on the PPE test!! However, I doubt that was the case at Univ; noone could overlook that PPE test, and especially that essay. :biggrin:

I don't believe they used the test so select candidates before the interviews.

That is simply not possible. My test was horrible. And I got an invitation.

Please Cheab, please do call/email them and ask them again about the test- I mean they said they are not going to use it for short-listing candidates?! And why should they lie?

Anyway, I have aked myself why they wanted us to take this test in october?? I mean where's the sense in doing so if they don't need it before the interviews???

Regarding the test, I've now sent an e-mail to Magdalen. I hope I haven't caused too much panic here, please note that the quote came from the admissions secretary and not from a PPE tutor.

What course have you applied for at LSE? If its government and economics then it sounds like your PS would fit the bill there and they are quite welcoming to international students. I don't really know about the other universities as these things really vary from tutor to tutor but you sound like a great student so I'm sure you'll be successful x

Just got a new mail from the admissions secretary. She had now double-checked with the PPE tutors and said that she had been mistaken.

The PPE test was not taken into consideration when short-listing for interviews at Magdalen. Sorry for any confision I might have caused.
