Chavs are all stupid inbreds who should have all their rights stripped from them.

People can be fake and cheap. I know plenty of fake people (pretentious liars) and a walk down one of South London's will take you to plenty of cheap people...

?????????????????????????????????????

The word chav is a ridiculous word to describe someone who is "common". I could easily be described as one- I'm an East End girl who attends an FE college, yet I don't believe any of my rights should be stripped from me.

I am sure many people will agree, prejudice is indeed a product of ignorance.

Theres about 8-10 rudies/chavs in my sixth form college of apporximately 1000 students.

Did you expect a serious reply or was this topic just a joke?

Its not used to describe someone who is common. You can spot a Chav a mile off. Silly **** wearing sports clothing (best chavs wearing burberry). They have lots of fake gold, the females wear too much make up and have no eye brows. They boys wear caps often up and at an angle. They talk ****, are anti-social and usually dumb as **** (I think being stupid is the key, if they were smart enough they'd realize they look like supersized ten year olds).

Check this link for the definitions of chavs from urban dictionary. Most certainly not just 'common' people.

I know many common people who arent chavs!

Why take my comments with sucgh papal seriousness? I want to be a lawyer. I am incredibly lefty and many of my comments are deeply ironic ("Black people?! Stealing OUR jobs! Jesus!")

Edit: Im sure you dont look like this Xanthe! http://www.urbandictionary.com/images.php?imageid=27192

I doubt you get too many Chavs at College taking A-Levels, or anything that requires at least 2 or 3 C grades at GCSE.

Same here.

My school was much 'chavvier' than college, mainly because all the chavs were forced into going there, whereas after 16 they mainly became builders/hairdressers/unemployed, and I moved on to a lovely college where the majority do A levels. There are also a number of adults that attend, some of which are over 70 and definitely not chavs.

What a strange assumption! Im at college finishing my A level's, and it is of course a complete mixture of people, yes some chavs, just like everywhere.
But like some one pointed out, alot of the "chav" type people dropped school at 16 or before, and a large number of girls from my year are already pregnant and are sponging off the state!
It appears to me that if you leave school and actually make the effort to re start education and go back to college, then clearly your no layabout or chav.
Im hopefully off to Nottingham this September, but that doesnt make me an exception to the rule because many in my college year have offers from top Uni's.

awesome
are all the people that drop after GCSE level and go to college chavs even the people who dont go to uni and go to college after A level are they chavs?

I seriously cannot make sense of that:

"Are all the people that drop [out] after GCSE level and go to college chavs? Even the people who don't go to university and go to college after A level?"

If so, I still don't really understand what you mean. There aren't many people in my college that are chavs.

Also, the generalizations in this forum are terrible, claiming all chavs are dumb, there must be some some chavs.

I know what you mean (eg. Orpington College!!!! ARGH!) but not all of them of course so you are a bit unfair

Reply 56

How the f**** can u generalise so much!-are you some sort of stuck up bint, who thinks that if people leave school, and go to college they must be chavs? Fair enough a some do-but why the F*** post such a single minded question like that!? If you had the time to ask the question on here-why not go up to someone in the local college and ask them all!?

......just to point out this was ment for the orignal poster.
