I'm 18, and have been losing my hair steadily for a couple of years now. It's gotten worse though over the last few months, no doubt related to the exams. I'm quite sure it's got to do with me having a dry scalp. Can anyone recommend something? Really dont want to lose my hair while im young.

Well if you have a dry scalp, I'd really reccomend Neutrogena T-Gel. Works wonders.

You can get food supplements that can make your hair stronger. Those supplements are usually for hair and nail growth but if this is hereditary hair loss, it looks like you have few options: minoxidil from the chemists. This is stuff that you can get without a prescription or propecia which are hormonal tablets you need to get a prescription for. There are side effects that might affect you such as impotence. This is if you don't want to shave it all off. If it's really affecting you, at least use Minoxidil. If that has little effect, go see your doctor and say you're interested in getting Propecia.
Apart from that, you have very few options. Apparently Nizoral is a good shampoo to take care of your hair but I don't know...
There's no point in looking up weird remedies as those are the only remedies out there. Bear in mind that you're not going to get hair back. You can only keep what you already have, and make it stronger.
My dad lost all of his hair at 17! Are you just thinning or actually losing it? My fringe has been thinning due to stress and I'm using this stuff called "Foltene". It's really good and has worked! x x x

I'm pretty sure i'm losing it. My hair has always been thin, what does foltene do?
It stimulates natural growth, thickens and improves the general condition of your hair. It's about £20 from boots but it's helping me....mine is thin due to stress from exams and glandular fever but this stuff is really helping x x x

Faiz, there's only Minoxidil that's non-prescription topical solution and Propecia which are hormonal tablets which require a prescription which actually are proven to work and have been approved by most dermatologists. Anything else is just a waste of your time and your money. Minoxidil is sold under several different brands such as Rogaine.
You can take food supplements which usually contain Cysteine to reinforce your hair but they have very limited effect.
I know this as my Dad lost his hair very young but it looks like I might be lucky... but you've always got to be aware of what's out there and apart from those two products, there's nothing.
