Right. My thread ok? Check my profile if you want to see what i look like.

As for the quoted comment, no its bloody well not! Just under a month ago I tore ligaments in my foot and ankle which hasn't healed yet. Almost but not quite since its bloody sore to walk on. You try doing sport then.

I have done plenty of sport in my time. In fact, I'm a member of a gym.
And that 'pain is weight leaving the body' was just me parodying one of the 'motivational posters' you'll get there; the poster in question being 'Pain is weakness leaving the body'. You wanted motivation, right?

If im honest, i would say you're overweight...

haha lol..it would seem that my twin has already posted a reply to this under my name!!!!!

Basicalllllllly, what Adonis said.

I don't know where you're getting this info from but they're lame points, kk?

they're not lame, but i value ur opinion.
u clearly just don't get them or u r totally misunderstanding me and not bothering to try to understand what i am trying to say.
so instead of being rude prehaps **** off. kk?

Adonis
this highlights your stupidity
so yes, I am right in calling you what you are
Do you know what insulin sensitivity is? Are you aware this can be changed by diet alterations?
I'm going to say no, I suggest you research such BASIC information before you make inane comments

trust me. i know all the 'BASIC' information. i know a lot about dieting and weight loss and nutrition etc...

i know that when ur blood glucose level is to high your pancreas is stimulated to secrete insulin. this causes the conversion of soluble glucose into insoluble glycogen (in cells) creating fat.

if u stop eating carbs...u loose this 'fat' in the cells due to a low blood sugar being created and therefore the secretion of glucagon causing glycogenolysis which produces glucose...this can then be used in metabolic pathways.
if u start eating mega carbs again. u will put on weight as ur blood glucose level will drastically increase. to much glucose will be in ur body that can be used up and u will regain the fat that u just lost...

find fault? explain it - don't insult it......please......

Gh I am so sick of people on TSR saying a size 12 is 'fat' or 'large'. I'm a size 10/12 and definately not overweight.

I think it depends greatly on figure. Big boobed girls - like me - have to buy larger sized clothes, when in actual fact they're not really that big. I've got 30J boobs and a 25 inch waist - I have to buy size 16 things to fit over them, when I could wear much smaller things otherwise.

Boobs are lumps of fat.

Check your BMI - you'll definitely be in 'overweight' at least.

Nah, not at all, I'm a 16 and my BMI is currently 23.7 and that's at 5' 8", fairly tall but not incredibly so.

I'm pretty sure it's easier to be healthy at a bigger size than people think...

Reply 108

umm for me if i was a size 16 i would be a balloon ! seriously a beast !!!!!!!!!!! but im only 5 ft it depends in know someone who is size 16 but still has a waist so is maybe just chubby looking you wouldnt say she was fat in the grand scheme of things .
its about your figure and maybe if you wobble. just try harder to loose weight if you are un happy.

This is a size 16.
On the left, of course..

I don't think I would call her fat. Not skinny either, tho.. Dunno really..

Edit: Yeah, and see this as well:

see do you look like miss surrey as i would say she was fat or do you look like the sizee 16 in the below picture as she is not fat because of her proportions and she is also toned.

Well, I don't know.
To be fair, fat weighs less than muscle.

Edit: Yeah, and see this as well:

yeah she is a 16 and about 8ft tall, IMO size 16 you need to sort it out.

SuicideCommando
You sound like one of those idiots who says size 20 is 'curvy'.

those bints should DIE.

16 is fairly large.
If you have a small build then aim for a size 6/8, but if your broad, a size 10 will be right.
Also, the easiest way to lose wait is to eat less and have a diet that has very little sugar in it.

I'm a size 14/16, only 5'3" and extremely unhappy about it; my friends and aquaintences tell me i'm not fat, but none the less it still gets me down. I have a medical condition where i have low insulin levels and too much male hormone that makes me put on weight and struggle to lose it, so it's really frustrating to hear people say 'oh, she's fat' when i struggle to cope with it myself.

The way I see it, it doesn't matter if someone is fat and a proper beast if they're happy with it; whatever someone's weight, if they're happy with themselves, it shouldn't matter.

Size 16 is fat. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who was a size 16 who I wouldn't say was fat. I guess if they were ridiculously tall then they would maybe be "chubby" rather than fat, but on most people it's just fat.

Also, the UK average thing is misleading. For a start, all it means is that the average person in the UK is fat. Something being the average doesn't mean it isn't still negative. And to be honest, I wouldn't say the average size of someone under 25 was a 16. If you're looking at the average size of a young person, I would say it's probably a 12, or a 14 at most. So Size 16 is not the average for your age, presuming you're a regular student.

Agreed. Over half of the population is overweight.

It's getting on the big side but I wouldn't say it's really fat. Depends on where the weight is carried and how tall you are etc. And yeah it depends on your perception. Some people think anything above a size 0 is fat...

That's it. We are all screwed.

the OP said that she was unhappy about it and doesnt want sympathy just motivation.
if someone is happy about their size then it is up to them, i dont understand people who are like 'fat people make me burn with rage' it's not really got anything to do with them. and if they go on about costs to the nhs then they should be just as angry at smokers and binge drinkers and people that sun bed etc

:lolwut: I'd like to know what you consider anorexic.

I wouldn't say size 16 was fat at all; I'd say from 20 to 24 is fat but anything above 24 is unattractively fat.

size 16 isnt fat?!?!? are you a physco mate? 16 is pushing the limits, 20-25 is obese in my eyes, i got about 8 neg reps for this, but **** me, no wonder this country is obese, our perception of fat is so ****** up!!
