above size 6 = fat.

Ah ok.

I'll keep that in mind

Hehe this forum is funny.

People have different perceptions of what is fat, though I guess you can actually be classified as fat if you're overweight on the BMI thingamabob, that is unless you're one of those muscly athletes

Simple test, stand nude infront of the mirror and jump, if it wobbles it is fat and you are carrying fat (aside boobs). If your midsection wobbles then you are carring fat there which is technically the most dangerous place to carry it (as in just under the skin fat anyway, obv fat in your heart is more dangerous).

Being fat without being super strong should be a crime and should be punishable by diets!

Boobs are lumps of fat.

Boobs are lumps of breast tissue.

erm... to be honest this is a sutpid argument... doesnt matter what size you are, aslong as you're happy thats the end of it! if you're not happy.. go to the gym lol! but whoever said above size 6 is fat... get a grip.. girls are conscious about their weight already without having to be told that!! ¬¬

sorry no offence but i'm 5'7 as well and i'm a size 10 and i sometimes worry about my size so yeah size 16 is pretty big.

and just because 16 is the UK average it does not make it healthy or a positive thing. let's be honest there are a lot of fat people in the UK, i swear i see more fat people than "thin" people.

but i'm sure if you were motivated you could lose some weight and feel happier about yourself!

i think for someone who is 5'7, size 8/10/12 is good.

And Fat tissue, If you have large breasts you have a lot of fat tissue, Hence when a woman puts on weight her boobs get bigger .

Ignore that OP, his opinion doesn't mean anything as he blatantly doesn't know anthing about women's clothing sizes.

I'm the same measurements as you- 5'7 and a 10, and I have to agree, I am sometimes insecure and think I would be happier as an 8. I wish I didn't feel like this.
Anyway, the question is are you happy with your size? If you're not, then you are the only one who can do something about it. I know it's hard, no one said it wouldn't be, but if you're determined and you really want it, you'll be able to do it. And once you start, it gets easier. I lost half a stone last summer and after 10 days or so the cravings went and I had so much more energy. I've slipped a bit but reading threads like this makes me think I should get back on track.
Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Shes size 16 and she is massive, anything getting over size 12 is getting a bit on the chubby side imo

there is NO WAY that mp is a 16!

In my view, anything above 12 is pushing it(depending on height, of course).

I agree :ninjagirl:

To me, size 16 is fat. *shrugs*

Its hard to lose but if you know how it can be done with some will power. I don't mean fad diets by the way, I mean a healthy balanced nutrition plan and exercise.

what is amusing is whilst what you have posted is accurate it's irrelevant
my point was, insulin sensitivity was about how much insulin your body produces to a given number of carbs
and this can be blunted by the amount of carbs you eat i.e. if you eat loads, over time u'll need more n more
BUT if you lower it for a while and do other dietary stuff, you can improve insulin sensitivty so adding carbs back in won't "make you fat again"
so where exactly are you learning all this 'diet stuff' is what you sprout isn't complete/relevant?

as is what most of what have discussed....

and yeah you can lower it - but eventually it'll rise again to what it was before you lowered it if you go back to eating like before....
u just said that urself...and it's what i've been saying...

I was pointing out that your logic was fail

how can you say "training is the only thing that works" IF you do it

the same for diet IF you stay on, even when you up carbs, you are fine, long as you do it properly, not just go back full swing to pre-diet mode

you should've just said "exercise is easier to implement"
