I was pointing out that your logic was fail

how can you say "training is the only thing that works" IF you do it

the same for diet IF you stay on, even when you up carbs, you are fine, long as you do it properly, not just go back full swing to pre-diet mode

you should've just said "exercise is easier to implement"

but it's not.

and i didn't say training. i said exercise - it is different
exercise works better for weightloss / muscle gain than reducing carbs.
if u did 200 sit-ups and ate a cookie you would loose more weight than if u sat still and didn't eat the cookie...

and my logic didn't fail at all...

and surely that thing bout the carbs we have both said before.....

Everyone suits different sizes. Beauty has no size limit.
Some girls are gorgeous at size 6, others size 18, depends what suits them

,,,But if ever in the situation where the sole method of transport is rolling, then things have probably gone too far.

Is this fat?

Aw lovely, whatever size you are...the most important thing is that you're confident in that size and you're not going to get that from this forum. If you're truly unhappy with your weight, then talk to your friends and family about it, try and find the time to do some exercise on weekends or early mornings or evenings or something... but if it really is difficult for you to lose weight then maybe you are just at your natural comfortable weight and you need to love yourself at that weight. Cheesy though it sounds, it's the best thing you can do really.

And no, in my opinion, size 16 is NOT fat.

well technically if your bmi is over 25 you are fat.

but some women carrying extra weight are just as attractive as the skinny ones ..but in a different way.

Reply 164

being a skinny/athletic build guy, i'd have to say anything beyond size 12-13 and my mind associates "big" to that person. and if you dont like the answer, well you can blame society for that.

Reply 165

More than one roll of fat + love handles.

You a fatty fatty.

I would say anything 16+ is defo fat... but i agree proportions are everything, so all sizes b4 a 16 are grey area. Size 12 is fat?! LMAO, Holly Willoughby is a 12 and she is skinnee!!!
Whtva happened to good old fashioned inner beauty? (Shallow Hal lol!)

Yeah and she's fat. Fatter then a pig who's been stuffed all day long and tied to a chain to stop her from moving so that the farmer could get more meat out of her to slice up in Tescos.

Here is my definition.

Obese = If your the size of an elephant.
Overweight = If you got flabs of fat anywhere on the body
Normal = If you have no flabby part and your stomach is straight and smooth.
Skinny = if some bones show.

Now I would catergorize most girls in either the overweight or Obese section. Particulary the lower class ladies and Northern girls. Something about chaviness and weight.

(Expecting to get neg repped for this =D)

Just because you are 'average' doesnt mean your not fat. Considering a large proportion (40% ish I keep hearing) of the population are obese, alot of those morbidly so. You also have to remember thats an average taken from a spectrum of people, those who are older are naturally bigger than you should be at 16-30 etc.

It depends on the girl but I find much above a 12 starts being a bit soft...

As far as I know. I have not CLAIMED this to be the case. I was stating a fact. OK?

I've cut out junk food and stuff, so yeah, we'll see how things go.

Diet is only 1/3rd of the problem, exercise is what'll make the real difference.

Yes I do know that, but at the moment I'm starting with my diet. Since with everything I do anyway that, I think, is the main problem.

Err, maybe. Simply eating less and not doing any real (resistance, HIIT) exercise to keep lean tissues is a massive fail and ends up with people just being skinny fat. People who go for a jog or a walk every now and then dont count as doing exercise either.

For more info go read the sticky in the fitness forums.

No, like I said in my previous post most girls just eat less which causes their body to 'eat' lean tissue (muscle) as well as fat. You end up thin and light but still fatty and wobbly. Best thing to do is to get down the gym, do 1 heavy resistance and 2 HIIT sessions a week and make sure your eating enough and clean. That'll give you a much better body much quicker than any of this diet crap.

I wish I could get some of my friends to understand that.. I'm lucky enough to have had a mum who loves to work out and is concious about what she eats without being boring (I.E. only salads) and therefore has always told me this
