If you really want to talk about sex THAT much and make yourselves look really cool, subscribe and you can do it all you like.

So if you pay you're allowed to talk about sex?

I thoiught the basis for the rule was that younger people used the boards.
1. this is the internet, a 10 year old can get hardcore porn if they want
2. a young person can still subscribe

so the system is flawed/...

Out of interest, and in a similar vein, what happened to the thread on "what drugs would you take...?"?

Younger people don't tend to have creditcards or paypal

Cant you pay with a debit card though, I know HSBC give them to people as young as 11!

My friend's 14-year-old brother has a something card. He can pay for stuff online when I (aged 18) can't.

Of course it isn't, I'm illustrating the fact that ANYONE can find inappropriate content for their age etc.

But they can't do a thing when their kids are old enough to look at it  .

Also when they are smart enough to figure out how to turn off the parents controls

Well yes, parents cant do a thing about it when they are old enough - i.e. over 18 in the UK!
People may be smart enough to turn off parental controls, but not many people I know can do it . . .

I did mine easily enough when we had a family computer. Not to look at porn in particular, just hated the general illiberalism of it all.
