I made this verse recently, just wanted to make a verse based on religion

Tha lord is my shepherd, ya'll hatas can't harm me
I walk with his blessings da angels be my army,
of course there's a weapon on my waist within arm reach
Das my baby keep it strapped in like a car seat
Yeah though I walk through the valleys And the shadow of death Forgive me lord I had to carry my tech,
I touch cash n get cheese
Play with dat cash I bust mags, indeed
forgive those who trespass against me
Why?
For they no not what they do untill they history gone memories,
lord grant me The serenity
To accept the things I can not change like what happens wen I get up
With my enemies
Pay bacc penalties,
Bang back send em these funerals ya n1gga$
Got to waste more hennessy,
yea, they got to pure it on the floor for ya,
maybe next Time they'll pray a lil more for ya.

Are any of these lyrics actually relevant to your life? Just wondering...

I don't like how the guy in the link took the name of probably one of the best guitarists in history.

narrow minded people like you are going to run aspects of the world one day which saddens me
rock can be even more crude
im not one to bother but when you just make a sweeping comment about a whole genre of music that millions listen to, it saddens me
we are all entitled to our music tastes so let us listen
i like most music types that appeal to me, and to be honest some music genres i don't rate. for example, general pop or other singing genres, where the music is sampled and so are most the lyrics. all you need is a voice which is down to luck and a good trainer, the rest is just finding a song which has been sung by 10,000 artists before hand
OK a bit paronising to aspiring singers and those in the mainstream but when you make comments like that, im annoyed
just reminds me of the small minds on TSR and the inthernet in general.

yes but rap / hip hop music uses a lot of the methods which you have just critisised above.

Like how often other songs and similar lyrics are sampled in modern hiphop, i fail to find much creativity in this, eg kanye west, etc. And i dont think much rapping/singing talent is required for some rappers who use the autotune effect, eg t-pain, etc.

But a fair point that you can listen to what appeals to yourself, i just find it hard to relate to music which goes on about guns, money, cars + 'hoes'

On a positive note, you made me feel really special when you implied that people like myself will 'run aspects of the world one day'
