Did he give me the wrong number?

I was at a club last night and got chatting to the barman, we really got along and spoke for quite a while and so i asked for his number...which he seemed really pleased about and saved it onto my phone. This was at about 11pm and he asked me to come visit him again at the bar before I leave to go home so at about 2 I went back and he took a break and we chatted some more and ended up having a little snog goodbye.

He was really nice and was like "text me tomorrow". And then when i was in the ladies he said to my friend "your friend is awesome...get her to text me".

Anyway so I texted him whilst in the club saying 'this is my number' but the delivery report said 'pending' and i thought no more of it...assumed he had no signal at the club. Then I text again this morning saying 'hi it's emma from last night, was nice to meet you ' and the delivery report said 'pending' again. So he's not got my messages..would he have given me the wrong number do you think?

I'm not overly bothered cause i've only met the guy once but we really hit it off and it'd be a shame if he gave me the wrong number!

Surely it would say 'sending failed' if he'd given you a fake number rather than 'pending'. Maybe just a network error?

maybe he hasnt payed his phone bill?

All my texts say pending but that's cos I'm with o2 and they don't support delivery messages....

Did all your other texts you send to other people say received?

There's a number of possibilities really, he could have given your the wrong number in order to avoid you - OR more likely, his phone is switched off, he's out of signal, he's been cut off or made a mistake when typing in the number.

He was giving you all the right signs of being interested and that and clearly liked you and wanted you to text him.... maybe you could arrange for you and your friends to go out again soon and accidently end up in the same place?

Will it not seem a bit desperate to call him? And what will I say? I'm not very good at the whole dating people thing and I get really nervous on the phone, even if i'm talking to good friends!

dial the number but put 141 before it so e.g. 1417874.... so your call will come up withheld so you can check if the number is correct without giving away that its you whos ringing. just an idea if you dont wanna talk....

It goes like this for me when talking to a girl:

MSN < text < phone < in person
