Desperate Housewives

Cant see a thread about this anywhere?
Wondering if anyone is watching it? I was really sceptical about it all, not a big fan of US shows, but it has been brilliant so far. Funny, but also dark, really really good, a surprise hit of the year for me. Be interesting to see if they tie up any loose ends or leave em all open for the next series and whether it can sustain another series...

I thought the past few episodes haven't been as good, but I'm still enjoying it. Kind of lost track of the plot though, I'm finding staying in every wednesday night very difficult.

I definately think buy the first series on dvd is going to be a must, I'm hoping it'll all become clear when I see it all in one go!!

It really isn't hard to follow.

Mary Ellis killed herself because she was being blackmailed by Mrs Huber, because Mrs Huber had discovered Mary Ellis' secret from her sister, who knew Mary Ellis when she was called Angela. That secret was that they had adopted Zach, who was then called Dana, from a druggie, and when the druggie came back for him they killed her, put her in the toy chest. They changed Dana's name to Zach and Paul told him he had a baby sister called Dana who died to cover it up.

Now the druggie whose baby they were looking after and who they killed, was the daughter of that old guy who is dying and wants to know what happened to his daughter before he dies. He's hired Mike, Susan's boyfriend, to find out what happened to her. Mike was going out with her at the time as well, so I reckon the final secret is gonna be that Zach's (Dana's) real dad is Mike.

Yeah, that's what I think too! I worked that out in last weeks episode. I LOVE desperate housewives! :biggrin:

I figured about erm, half of that out. But I have missed a couple of episodes along the way. the thing that confuses me is if "dana" is a girls name, how come the druggie called her baby boy that? Or is it one of those names that can be a girl or a boy? Also there is one character i have no idea who he is or where he came from, the creepy guy that always gives susan dirty looks?

I think the guy you're talking about is probably Paul (Zach's dad), because he wants Susan to stop trying to work out the mystery about Mary Ellis's death.

Dana can be a boy or girls name, but it is deliberately ambiguous and was therefore the perfect name for the writers of the show to use to fool the viewers.

I think they should use Edie more in the second series though - she's class!

read the Sun yesterday, im pretty sure its tonight! Its so shocking, cos I bet Bree is gonna cry on that weird pharmacist bloke's shoulder not realising he was the one that killed her husband!
Anyone else think her son is a bit weird? I mean the way he told the priest he is gonna pretend to be the perfect son and then show his true self when Bree wont expect it?!! Thats a bit of a crap storyline if you ask me!
Does anyone know when the next series is gonna be on (Im worrying about that already how sad :redface:
