I went for a college interview last week in jeans an t-shirt.. and it went well :p:

I assume there's no dress code for this college, so it won't matter too much.

I'm sure it doesn't matter too much. As long as it's more formal than a worn out t-shirt and a tatty pair of jeans, and less formal than a dinner jacket, you should be fine. When I had a sixth form interview it was during school time, so I went wearing the uniform for my other school :p:

I was being sarcastic, but yeah, you want to do well in the interview. I'm sure what you originally suggested is fine, infact I'm sure they won't mind what you wear within reason, but will be more concerned about whether or not you show you are motivated to do the course. It should be fine.

I have an interview on Wednesday and I'm not sure how casual/formal to dress. This is for College, not Uni.

I was thinking smart jeans, a casual black shirt and black trainers or shoes.

Any advice would be great.
Cheers, James.

How competive is the course/ how are your predicted grades? Is the college got a gd rep?

Change to black trousers, black shoes, smart shirt if you def want a place... the interview is a bit late now tbh, meaning many places will be filled up...

*Wear something smart, but not too smart or too casual.
*Never wear trainers!
*Never wear jeans either!
*Wear like them black school trousers or whatever
*The casual black shirt is fine.

Good luck! And don't worry most interviewers are friendly they don't want you to feel uncomfortable, they just want to see your personality and whether you are suited for whatever subjects you chose.

Where are all the smart arses who say 'clothes'? Or 'nothing at all'?

They're the usual responses anyway.
Depends on the college.

My college was a "wear anything as long as you wear something" college, so our interviews were fairly relaxed. If it's a sixth form you should still be OK; obviously as a guy you are fairly limited anyway.
