I was thinking of taking up AS further maths in year 13 (self-study).

    I sat C1,C2 and M1 in year 12.

In year 13 I would do C3, C4 and M2 in January, followed by FP1, FP2 and M3 in the summer.

Would doing the single maths modules in January render me ineligible for the A* - if so, could certification be delayed until June?

The best thing to do would be to cash your modules in at end of year 13 and claim for A-levels in Maths and Further Maths to avoid complications like that.I had a massive problem last summer becuase I cashed in some units early in year 11 so I didn't initially get a grade for Further Maths as they thought I'd done 5 and not 6 units - but they relented eventually after pressure from my head of maths and gave me a B overall (cashed in Maths A2).
