Can you revise in a messy room?

Well.. can you? Me and my friends were discussing this today (I know- we lead thrilling lives!) and I definitely can! I find I revise best in bed so I'm not too fussed about having a proper desk, lamp, stationary etc. However, I have a very short attention span unfortunately and mindlessly tidying up is a good form of procrastination .. (hey at least I'm getting SOMETHING done! :p: )

When I actually do revise I like to sit at my dining room table with all of my stuff spread out. God knows how you can revise in bed, I'd be more tempted to go to sleep.

During exam time, folders and work gets spread all over my floor, along with my walls getting increasingly covered by posters I make, so I actually prefer the mess!

Well messy room does affect your concentration, u could say all the mess takes up the 'space' in ur mind so little is left for your concentration n thts why u have a short span for your concentration . As for me, i get very irritated if i m in a messy situation n its time for my studies, if i cant help it then i pile up the stuff n put it away from my site n then get back to it laters!
No, I revise in the spare room, at a desk - peace and quiet, have my pencil case and lots of paper at the ready. No distractions in there... except a bed.
I can't revise in a messy room, as it affects my concentration. You can't write properly as mess is all over the table.

I can't revise on an un-polished desk but then I'd probably a slave to OCD!

I usually work alright in a mess but today when I did work I had to have a big tidy (not sure what came over me :p: ) so there were fewer distractions.

Aaaah, memories...

My desk is highly organised - lava lamp in one corner, normal lamp in another, textbooks on one side and my paper on the other. Hehe. I'm rather anal about my revision routine.
I revise better when my rooms messy cos I can find stuff.

Uhm.. my room is messy, and I've done a bit of revision, ie. just the necessary practice essays and exam papers for lessons... but I haven't really done any bulk learning of material.. so perhaps having a tidy room would help?
My main problem is that I haven't been filing my work, so all of this years stuff is just in random piles around my room and in my bag. I'm buggered.

Do try dumping out all the stuff u dn need or arrange it n c how relaxed it makes u n how well uwill be able to concentrate, i just cleaned up my messy room out of frustration  (things seems to pile up in a day or two  ), n now it all looks soo neat n i just have one thing in my mind n m able to concentrate better as i dn have to look out for stuff not in its rite place...

my room is so messy, but i hate tieding up i'd love it more if it was all tied up but I can study in a messy place sometimes
I prefer having papers strewn all over the room - it gives the place a sense of industry.
