Sometimes they really are. It depends.

Yeah the "hot" sauce is hotter. The extra hot one is too lemony..and does nothing :frown:

If you get hot spice chicken and smother it and the sides in hot sauce then your mouth will burn

Medium is fairly routine for me now; Hot on occasion was survivable. But I wouldn't risk going above Hot

Nandos sauces I find are overrated.

Hot and extra hot sauce are the exact same sauce. For extra hot they just put more on, coat it a few times more and leave it on the grill for longer to soak in.... so there's no way extra hot could be more 'lemony' than hot

I'm talking about bottles of sauce not the chicken :/

Hate to break it to you all but the extra hot sauce is just the hot sauce. They just put more on. Look it up.

My partner finds the hot sauce hotter than the extra hot one. I'm a baby and only have lemon and herb, maybe medium at a push.

even the extra extra hot sauce is nothing. I think there is a maximum spice/scoville unit of the spice they put in.
