RIP Brown Patrick Bateman

It is in crushed spirits and with a devastated heart that I have been asked by Anjool's dear father to let everyone know that Anjool passed away this weekend.

In respect to the details, questions and feelings you will have, please be patient and allow his friends and family time to breathe in this awful loss.

In loving memory.

That is from Anjool's best friend.

Anjool and I met here - we argued here, we mocked one another, and then we became friends. We talked almost every day - about life, stocks, girls, the future. He was a incredibly kind individual with a unbelievable zest for life. I miss him dearly and there is now a hole in many of our lives.

RIP Anjool Malde aka Brown Patrick Bateman

Oh dear :frown:. I remember the guy roaming around these forums a couple of years ago. Very entrepreneurial guy from what I've heard and read about him. RIP Anjool.

I actually cannot believe it. I saw this on facebook last night, but I just refused to accept it and thought it must be some sort of prank. It was barely a week or two ago I spoke to him, I still have messages from him in my fb inbox. ******* hell just how bad must this inquiry have been to make him feel *that* down....

I met him for the first time when he interviewed me for my DB spring week, and since then he's been one of the nicest people I've ever known. What an unbelievable waste.

Rest in peace Anjool

I made a thread about it in general discussion, didn't realise there was one here.

I remember him when he posted as Jools, was a friendly intelligent person from what I remember. Had a few interesting discussions with him.

RIP and I hope his family and ffriends are getting the support they need.

Just came here after seeing this story as the headline news on Sky, quite shocking...

:frown: I'm still in shock over this. I don't understand what drove Jools to this, but it's a huge loss, both as a human tragedy and because he was such a special, even inspirational, person.

Didnt know the guy, but he sounds like a nice dude. R.I.P

I first came across him here and got to know him and be his friend over time far beyond this initial place.

It is shocking and awful. A terrible loss. I still find it difficult to really say or express myself on this. It was the most unsettling feeling when I first found out yesterday and it still causes a real shudder when I think about it.

He'll be sorely missed for being so wonderful at everything he applied himself to and he really changed my life for the better. Top guy.

Rest in peace Jools.

He did geogrpahy at Oxford right? I swear he emailed me once giving me advice about interviews and stuff. It's very sad. RIP.

What a terrible tragedy and a horrid end to a young life. Rest in peace.

I would like to add my condolences to anjool's parents.

Although I never knew him personally, his story and that of Jan sramek greatly inspired me. It is clear from his resume that he was a very active student with a sharp business instinct, having seen his profile in many places including the bbc website and younoodle I felt he was obviously a bright talent who has probably done more at the age of 24 than most people accomplish in a lifetime.

R.I.P anjool.

i never spoke to him personally but that really is such a tragedy with him being so young.

My thoughts go to his family.

How sad. Didn't know him but looks like a guy I would easily relate to. A true pity he is gone.
