is anybody else worried that our first loan/grant installment is not going to be enough to cover a £2,300 first rent payment AND food & travel for 3 months up until December?

I'm a huge worrier and I'm pretty terrified that I'm going to be left SO skint after my move-in date

I know I'll have to find a job but I'm not from London and so I'll only be able to start job-hunting after I move!

The loan defiantely won't cover the first rent installment and three months living.

I've got the same problem as you, I don't live London, those first few weeks are going to be pretty tense.

I've worked out that I'll have £15 a week left so not much better, lifereverse!

my student overdraft will just have to be used in my first term, I've worked out that my overall loan/grant amount for the whole year minus my overall rent costs for the whole year leaves me with around £50 a week to spend on food/going out/travel so I know I'll be able to pay the bank back in the second & third terms. it's not good being in so much debt even after just my first term though!
