Because of the start dates of CCUSA summer camps, I would have to miss my graduation ceremony. And there is no possibility of deferring it until november.
I dont know what to do, I really want to take part in CCUSA next year, but I also really want to go to my graduation.
I would do CCUSA another year, but once I get in full time employment, it wouldn't be possible.
What should I do. Sacrifice one day for a summer of a life lime, or go to one of the proudest days of my life?

Is there definitely no way you can do a winter graduation?
The past few years I've been travelling in the summer I've been with people who are missing their graduation and to be honest, it didn't seem like they felt it was the end of the world. At my camp, the fact that some of the Brits were missing graduation wasn't even mentioned, and then last year in Asia we did our own little graduation ceremony involving towels, woolly hats and scrolls we'd made ourselves. I think some of them then went to winter graduation and others didn't have that option. I suppose it depends what you consider to be important - I am personally choosing to opt for travel over my graduation next year, but that's me. Is there not something else you'd like to do where you could go after the graduation date? Okay, it might not be the same, but it could still be fun. Write a list and weigh up the pros and cons, most of my friends graduated this year and they felt that the ceremony was much more for their parents than for them, so it might be an idea to see what your family think about it too (if you want, that is)

Ive looked to see if i could have a winter graduation, and it says 'only in exceptional circumstances' so i think thats a no.
Id love to take part in my graduation, mainly for my parents like you said. And for the principle of wearing my gown. But after all its one day right. An couple of hours out of one day.
Ive wanted to go traveling for years now, but never had the sufficient funds to do it. CCUSA seemed to be the ideal alternative. I mainly want to do this for me, to improve my people skills and such (im quite shy and my confidence isnt a mucher) So weighing up the pros and cons in that respect, i think it would be more beneficial and worthwhile to take part in CCUSA, i would get more out of it than if i went ahead with my graduation.
Plus ive just seen the pictures that my friend (whos doing camp canada) uploaded, and oh em gee she looks like shes having so much fun.
Thanks for your help, i think ive made up my mind
