where do we do the laundry ? are there launderettes? if so ....how many per dorms? and wats the cost like ??

Depends what accomodation you're in obviously, but there are launderettes.....I'm in maple bank and I've never used it, but there are a few washing machines and tumble driers, and another load just down the road at Shackleton. If you go at 'student-unfriendly' times then there should be no problem with them being busy or anything....I think it's about £1.60 for a wash and I'm not sure about a dry. Because I live near to uni I've always taken my washing home!!

What cleaner?

The only thing the cleaner will do is clean halls if you're lucky enough to have one. In self-catered you do everything yourself you lucky blighters!

I haven't heard of any Halls in Bham that will do your laundry for you! What kind of lazy people are you? This ain't no holiday camp people.

Each halls will have laundry facilities with the prices already listed, and yes you really will need to use the tumble drier otherwise it will never dry in a Uni room -it's worth paying £1...and you should leave it an hour otherwise it won't dry through properly.

To save money and inconvenience team up with somebody in your flat/whatever doing similar colours. Have lots of pairs of underwear to last you forever so you don't have to keep washing socks etc.
