    at my uni it was 10p per page, for a 30+ page assignment hand in ;_;
    A cheap printer will probably last for your entire uni needs. In theory should be a bit cheaper then using the uni's.
    Also uni printers get a bit busy at times, so if you are in a rush it can be a pain.

    Woo for john's printer :woo:

    Am thinking of getting a Kodak one, cos the catridges are mega cheap on the ones. I know the printer is a bit expensive (£100+) but the cartridges (£6.99 for black, £9.99 for colour) kinda make up for this. That and I know I will be doing lots of printing for my course

    If you buy remanufactured ink cartridges for HP printers they're usually around £8-9 and last 4 times as long as any ordinary ones

    I don't like HP. I have never got on with any HP printer I have ever bought. And I get through printers (as does my dad) and he refuses to buy HP printers now.

    You demon! HP printers (Laserjet ones... never been a huge fan on the Inkjets) are amazing! My parents have got one that they've had for about 5 years and it can't have gone through more than about 3 cartridges in that time and it's still going strong.

    I got a Samsung Laser form ARgos (Bad idea, should have ebayed it but I was desperate) for about £60
    It has served me through about 900 pages and still has ink. I tihnk a new toner is about £40 and will do 1500 pages.
    I printed out all my notes so thats how I used 900 pages. It printed at about a page every 4 seconds.
    Definitely worth it imo.
