Does anyone know how much the different types of prescription lenses cost, like anti reflective, polarised, etc. I have the lighter lens options and anti refelective for my glasses now but forgot how much I paid for it and would like to know how much it is and also if under 19s get any form of discount on lenses.

I have just brought two pairs of glasses at ladies SpecSavers for £99, thinning of lens they wanted around £150.

I am very happy with the assistance they gave and the glasses they helped me find.

Vision express are a rip off! I saw some frames for like 50 quid which were nice, but didnt know you had to pay more for the lenses costing from 50 quid. So i went to Specsavers where its all one prices, if you see some for 50 quid, its 50 quid.

I have found the staff in SpecSavers more helpful - sorry that sounds like a generalisation but both SpecSavers I have been in have had extreamly polite and caring staff.

The quality of the glasses at SpecSavers has been awful in my experience, and they also issued me with an incorrect prescription. Now I stick to the opticians that I've been seeing since I was 8 for tests, and the service has always been fantastic.

It's probably best to go in store to ask about the costs of their lenses. Usually, at places like Vision Express and Specsavers, the basic lenses are cheap but once you want them thinned with extra coatings and other additions, they become considerably more expensive.

Vision Express are stupidly expensive. Also, I worked there for a few weeks and they are complete snobs. And they have a very unhealthy hatred of Specsavers - basically because they are cheaper and have more customers.
