Huge facepalm to my guitar progress thus far!

The thing is I have an acoustic guitar, I thought it'd be best to start with an acoustic

I haven't been playing much to be honest, and I'm yet to figure out this technical jargon (i.e. D strings and whatnot). I need to make more of an effort really.

Thanks for posting that though, I'll save that link until I'm at least decent.
Ahh ok, not to worry! Yes, definitely. If when you want to look at it and ask what I was on about again, just shout.

I've been out of the country for the last week so likewise I've done sod all with my guitar yet. I can play a few basic chords (and even then can only top out at 30 transitions a minute tops) and that's about it. I'll give it a go soon though I'm sure, thanks son

In return, have a link to a gig Muse played from 1999 with lots of what would now be considered rares, if you have a spare 1.2GB on your hard drive. They look so fresh faced

EDIT: Aww I think Matt still has a few teenager spots! Also loving that he properly gets to the high notes in Cave
    Yeah, of course.
Just to say though, this isn't chord based (I don't get on well with chords. :nope: ) and even slowly/without the effects (whammy/distort etc) it'll still sound good. :teeth: Jus the fact that some of the starting parts are all on one string...:teeth: :p:

    And thankies!

I took a look at the tabs last night and couldn't figure out what the hell they were supposed to be doing. I was playing them but they sounded absolutely nothing like the song

Also, Pheebs, I was at work otherwise I would have gladly talked to you my love :jumphug:

That's what I played. Still utterly bemused. Am I being really thick? It's not the first triplet bit is it?

The bit that starts on 0:19 (the easiest way to explain..). Everything is in standard tuning..

I don't know why I'm forcing you to play this...:whip: but if you get just that bit you'll feel happy with yourself! :p:

Thank me later. Where he (or she) goes on about overdub, that's the bit you hear being played over the 'Open; 2; 3 etc.'

The bit after about the whammy is then from 0:56 IIRC.

Oh, I actually checked 0:19 and it was the bit I originally thought it was. SO you're supposed to play each note thrice? I really don't get this :dunce:

I had oyster and lobster, and had burly men firing guns at midnight in between. Can't be a bad new year with all that.

Also, lol at the extended version of Unnatural Selection (go to about 0:35):
