    Why not?
I'm sure you're smart enough to think about this all on your own.

God no. If I had to do five years of medicine I'd shoot myself. History ftw!

Personally for me something such as medicine, which revolves around science would be the worst degree for me. I'm far more suited to the arts, I guess it depends to an extent what your good at and what you can do best in.

Thats the thing. How do we define what best or good is?

But if there was a measure of the best rounded degree e.g. earnings, time it takes to find a job , the jobs available and the social status attached etc... all the things that makes a degree

    Would medicine top the charts?
The suicide bombing degree at Helmand University is probably the "best". As you'll find a job as soon as you apply, pretty good earnings...40 virgins and so on, a sky high social life.

    Thoughts?

    No?
Right right. The general TSR consensus was that it depends on what you want to do that makes a degree good.

Who could possibly have anticipated that this might be the answer?

Yes, if you want to be a doctor, or go into something medical. Otherwise No.
Completing a medical degree means a person will most likely end up with a good well paid job in the medical profession. For people who do not want to work in the medical profession, then no it is not the best degree.

    a GOOD degree = yes
the BEST degree = No, depends what you want to do :-)

The things in that list would be different for every person, and the emphasis would be on different areas.

For example, some people put a great deal of emphasis on earning potenial, and not much on anything else. Some people might not be too keen on doing per-rectal examinations and the like. in which case no, medicine probably isn't the best degree.

But some people might put a lot of emphasis on social status, noble profession, and maybe a bit on earnings, but not really on the number of hours you have to work, or stress of the job, in which case medicine is probably one of the best degrees.

If they let me in this time around then obviously I'll vote yes for it being the best!

If not then its a crap degree and I didn't want to do it anyway
