Or are there entry requirements, such as getting a 1st or a 2:1?

I fancy staying in education for a long time, but my grades are probably only going to be a 2:2 at this rate. Is there any hope for me?

Depends on the institute, I know some Masters programs specify an upper second.

You should be able to get a place with a 2:2 though.

Depends on the subject. Generally the requirement is 2:1 or 2:2 depending on the demand.

Quite a few places only require a 2:2. Depends on the course, and the institute and if its competative or not (ie some Psychology post grad courses)

Depends on the individual courses. Some ask for 2.2s as people have mentioned. Others don't mind if you have substantial work experience within the appropriate sector.

Most masters degrees require you to have at least a 2:1, but some will take people with a 2:2, especially if you have a lot of experience.
