I think you should think long and hard about it. There are very many applicants who are far more passionate about studying medicine than merely 'not minding' studying it. If you're not genuinely enthusiastic about medicine you won't get past the interviews if you get one at all.

If I was you I wouldn't go for it.

You have to know 100% for definite if you want to do Medicine, even if you are only 99% sure don't go for it!

And you seem like 45-60% sure?

If you've never thought about it I wouldn't advise jumping into it.

Do you like it or what? Sounds to me like you're very confused.

I'd think about it, get some work experience, read up on it and see if you'd actually like it. Unfortunately this cannot be done quickly, but it will help you make a wise decision.

You are never never guranteed all A's. Ever. If you are not 100% sure about doing medicine (which it seems you aren't) don't do it. Like leemkule says, is you aren't passionate they will see right through you at the interview and it will just make the admissions tutor's job very easy. I would really advise you to not go if you'll feel pressured to do medicine.

If you simultaneously sneeze, fart and cough in the next hour, its a sign - DO IT! See I thought it was all ludicrous when I was told to look out for that sign, but once it happened I was sure medicine was what I wanted to do. :p:

On a serious note though, just to reiterate what pretty much everyone has said, don't go jumping into it if your not sure about what it entails. Medicine requires pretty much lifelong commitment so making a very hasty decision in two days wouldn't be advisable.

Secondly, you should take your time, do some work experience and then consider if you want to do it or not - not if your parents want you to do it or not.

Finally, you should have hooked a brother up with this college that gurantees As at A Level - would have saved me the hassle of actually revising! :p:

If you aren't sure then you shouldn't do medicine. You have to be really passionate about wanting to do something like medicine, its not a degree for anyone with doubts.

    Also bloody hell; WRITE PROPERLY!!!!!

You can still get into medicine or any other career, not matter what college you go to. If one college is better and you'll get better grades, then go there, if you think you will like it. The choice of college is not going to determine what university courses you can apply for.

This. I was reading this whole thread thinking everyone had lost the plot - going to the better college doesn't force you to apply for medicine, but it does provide potentially better teaching and resources leading to better A-level results, which can only be a good thing for whatever you choose to do your degree in.
