I've just brought the most beautiful brown leather ankle boots for 2 euros from a charity shop. The problem is, they don't fit. They're at least 3 sizes too big, maybe more.

I know that shoes can be stretched to increase the size, but can they be shrunk. The sole and leather at the toe area would have to be cut away and reglued/stitched. Apart from that, they fit perfectly in width and at the ankle.

The leather is quite thin and soft and so is the sole.

Is it possible to change the size? Has anyone ever had it done? If so where, and how much did it cost?

    Thanks in advance!
