Go to the Apple Store? Free internet connection and you can play retail games in the game section. If you have your own notebook with Wi-Fi, you can also use that and have a seat in the comfy chairs. They also have regular live tutorials in there as well if you are interested in seeing how some of the Apple application works.

    Enjoy your time in London!

Tate Modern is mostly free, there's usually one paying exhibition though.

    Walk along the South Bank.

    Sit in Hyde/Green/St James Park.

Get completely lost and try and find your way back to the station (more adventure if it's chucking it down with hail ).

Sit in Soho Square Gardens and laugh at the scary drunk people who shout at kids on school trips, then come up behind you and start peeing. Actually, this might not be a great idea.

Don't forget the National science museum

If the weather is good, Hyde park is nice too. I'm always surprised how many people are sitting out there in the shirt sleeves for a lunch break :p:
