Hi, I'm currently in the gap between year 11 and 12 and have decided to not waste the summer and do my ext project instead. I really have no specific idea of what I want to do in regards to women. Does anyone have any ideas in some kind of relation to feminism/suffrage/rights et cetera?

    Much appreciated!

I thought people did their extended project in year 13?

Anyway, what aspects of feminism are you interested in? Philosophy? Sociology? Law? Beauty? Family? Work? Language? Literature? etc.

Yes, echoing the sentiments of the last poster; for which subject? Narrow it a little for us and we'll be able to help more.

I've kinda had a slight change to the topic. More focused on sociology basing it on the effects of the suffrage movement. But I'm npt sure that's an entirely good idea. Would it be better if I did it on the woman's role since the suffrage movement?

Apparently, you're supposed to do it Year 12/13 but I'm getting a headstart, and just want to finish it before I start college. I've got all the details and a tutor et cetera though.

Women's role in politics? Because in general the effect the suffrage movement had on women in society generally I would imagine was quite negligible? I dunno.

Well, it is, I guess. But I'm not sure I could write 5000 words on the role of women in politics... Is the women's role in society too vague as well?

Why do you have to specify the Suffrage movement? How about "How has the role of females in British society evolved from the Victorian era to the present day"?

I don't have to specifiy the Suffrage movement, I just know a lot about it so it makes it easier.

I like your recommendation though, so thank you!

It's probably going to be my project title, though I ommited the *in literature. Mine's for English Lit, you see.

I'd rather have a wider question, really. But if you did take the suffrage movement you could still write an awful lot, especially in respect to how it didn't really have that much of an effect, it doesn't always have to be positive remember!

Ooh okay, so are you starting yours now?

I want to be able to write a lot and have a wide range of sub topics I could get into but the question is supposed to be specific isn't it?

I need to speak to me tutor first but I'll probably be starting it soon. It's not like it's a burden to me, I enjoy writing essays :o:

I'm not sure, I'll be able to tell you more after tomorrow!

    Thanks! :p:

Remember that actually only a proportion of the marks go on the actual paper and a lot on the planning, the log and the research.
