    Hi,

Is it always best to go to open days if you want to apply to the university. I am thinking off applying to places, but am unable to make their open days. Does it really matter if I can't go?

    Thanks!

It wont make a difference to your chances, but considering you might be spending the next 5/6+ years there, It's important you feel comfortable and happy with the location.

If you're unhappy where you end up, you're going to struggle on the course.

If you can't go to the open days, don't worry about it. Quite a few of the websites have virtual tours or at least pictures- and plenty of information. Also, some of them allow you to e-mail/chat with students through their websites, if you want, so you could try that- e.g. king's (though they have very specific dates).
