has taken a beating overnight. It was bent inwards and after pulling back out I noticed the glass is chipped in a few places and has a few scratches. Does any one know how much it would be to replace this and where I could have it done? Poor car

Random Not sure how much it'd cost, I'd hazzard a guess around £60-100?

Mr friend had her mirror ripped right off at work. I believe it cost her £100-£150 to replace either one of both of them, they were electric for a Mark 2b Clio. She didn't go through insurance though and had them fitted for her I think.

It would probably be easier to just get a whole new mirror pod rather than the mirror itself, but I'm rather unsure. If you get one from a scrap yard and fit it yourself it might only cost you £10.

The price depends if it is the same colour as your body work or not.... To colour match will cost you about £40 alone..

You'll be able to buy/order in replacement mirror glass (assuming this is what you're on about?) from your local car spares place or direct off ebay etc for about £5 or so - then either remove the old glass and replace, or just glue the new glass on top.

If you want the whole mirror and casing that will probably be £15 to £30 off ebay, depending how popular your car/colour is, and if the casing is colour coded.

I bought a whole wing mirror for about £15 for my old car, just to take off the coloured casing which matched the one I had broken off.

Before you buy it's worth doing a quick search on google eg. 'replacing wing mirror glass on a fiesta', or whatever - just to give you an idea how easy it would be to do. There should be some sort of guides/advice around for most popular cars.

    How old is the car?

Have you considered visiting a scrapyard ? Always good to recylce and save a few pounds.

I'm pretty sure you can go to a scrapyard or the like and buy the glass for under £20... If you are paying more than that they are ripping you off :o:
