I haven't had my first statement yet (I was told I'll get it within 4 weeks of first transaction?). If I am getting it within 4 weeks then I'll get it at the end of this month, which is when I'm on holiday. How long do they give you to pay it? I'm just wondering if I'll have long enough to be able to pay after the bills generated (I won't have internet so can't just keep checking online banking)

    Thanks

It depends on the company - i get longer to pay barclaycard than i did when i had mbna, so i would check with the company who's card you have.

Oh probably why I can't find anything then. It's Natwest Student credit card if anyone has any experience

Have you considered getting your credit card paid by direct debit. The advantage is that it is done automatically and you will never forget.

Call up the credit card customer services and ask to set up a direct debit to pay so even if you are away they will take the payment from your bank account automatically

It is being setup to take the minimum but I got a letter with the confirmation saying something along the lines of "Until you receive further confirmation that the direct debit is active you still need to make payments in the normal manner". As I still haven't received confirmation I assume it's not been setup properly yet, so I’m going to have to pay manually to make sure (unless the statement says otherwise, but I won’t be around to read it)

I'll phone them up in the week to find out the time for repayments if nobody on here knows. Hopefully a statement is generated before I go though (as it should come up online before it arrives in the post)

I have, pretty sure it's not active/confirmed yet though. I'll try and find the letter to check
