That is shambolic. Who runs that system anyway? Who is it that tries to send them back to the Ivory Coast without first checking they would be accepted?

Children in detention centres? Is the cost proportionate to the aim pursued? If the BNP ever tried to run that expatriation scheme would our coffers run dry (£70,000 for these two asylum seekers alone!)?

    Thoughts?

If the BNP got into power I'd be looking to take them up on a voluntary departure scheme (this place would become a hell-hole), though being white and 'ethnically British' I don't know if I'd quality

I'd love a small apartment on some Greek island.

No, the foreign aid budget would be scrapped, with the money used on the repatriation scheme.

I agree with Oswy, can I leave the country under voluntary repatriation too? One of my ancestors might have come from a foreign county once!

My point was more along the lines of, wherever the money comes from (in a budget sense) the use of that money for private jets is a bit obscene. But hey, if that's where the BNP would get that money from fair enough.

The cost seems a bit excessive in the article anyway.
