Well, aren't they already? Swarming the streets in their millions, straining the benefit system to near collapse, infesting London with their bigoted views?

The continent was divided in principalities, there was no Indian identity rather people identified with there local area and there king. Much like there never used to be a British identity rather an English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh one, same sort of thing in pre-unification Germany.

There were internal conflicts in India and the British knew this, its one of the ways we were able to gain control so easily. Iplayer 'Empire of Cricket', its quite revealing. Talks about how cricket helped to give the Indians a sense of national identity they didn’t have before, and how the internal conflicts in India were shown in the sport etc etc.

There was no India, and there was plenty of conflict before the British arrived. Muslims fought Hindus, Hindus fought Muslims and the Sikhs fought everyone. There was plenty of bloodshed and wars between different Indian states if you check your history books.

Dude! had it not been for the Britons, then the rest of India would have still been more or less like BIHAR. I don understand the anti-Anglo vibe in India. You better thank them for getting u to where you are.
Aren't the English the ones who built most of the infrastructures in ur nation? Why is it hard for people to accept the truth and say 'thankyou' every once in a while??????

Well, not quite. The fall of the Mughal empire led to the partitioning of India into regional kingdoms. The East India Company played on these divisions in order to gain greater political weight across the subcontinent.

Arguably the rise of religious intolerance predates the rise of British Imperialism in India, but again, religious disagreement wasn't exactly discouraged by the East India Company.

The effects and nature of Company and then British rule in India are much debated even today, but whether or not you regard it as "rape" it's unreasonable to hold people responsible for the misdemeanours of their ancestors.

I oppose the existence of any system to milk, but while we have one, you may as well get as much as you can out of it (barring, of course, fraud).

No we should not milk their system because we are not as closed minded and arrogant as the British of that time were, we are better than that. I do however believe that the Queen should return the jewels that were stolen from India simply as a gesture of goodwill.
